We're thrilled to accept online reservation requests for all of our experiences, seven days a week. This dry, medium-bodied ros of Sangiovese displays hints of cherry-pomegranate flavors on the palate. Every great wine has a story. Miner Family Winery is a dynamic family owned winery tucked into the eastern hills of the Oakville appellation, squarely within the heart of Napa Valley.
Services
Following a number of years spent working in the software industry, Dave Miner got his start in wine in 1993 as President of Oakville Ranch Vineyards, owned by his late uncle, Robert Miner. Having spent years as an enthusiastic wine consumer and collector, Dave had a natural affinity for the business.
The Napa and Sonoma wildfires have been devastating our bucolic landscape for almost two weeks now. As some of the fires continue, we have first responders and countless volunteers from our. We owe a huge thank you to all who purchased our Mystery Case on Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Giving Tuesday in 2020.
Lively, with a mix of red and black currant and boysenberry notes liberally laced with floral, sassafras and dried anise notes. Sanguine and cedar hints check in on the finish. Best from 2022 through 2032. Garys' Vineyard (yes, there are two men named Gary who own this vineyard, hence the apostrophe after the "s, "), is the source of Pinot Noir for several producers in California including Miner Family Winery in Napa Valley.

I have been a wine club member at Miner for almost 2 years now. I came in this past weekend with my mother and sister. It was their first time at Miner and they had a fabulous experience. The last time I was here we had a gentleman named John, this time we had a gentleman named Danny. Danny was funny and witty and really enjoyable to be with. He taught us a lot of great things we didn't know about wine tasting, like how you should sniff the wine. We were in the cave, for wine members your tasting fee is waived. I look forward to continue being a member and coming back for many more fabulous

I have been a wine club member for about 5 -6 years now. I have had issues with my shipments time after time. I will take responsibility for 1 time I made a mistake on a ship ment that had arrived however, most of the issues are related to the disorganization of the staff that handle the shipment orders. Many times I have threatened to stop my membership throughout the years but, hold on to the hope the the new employee handing the orders will finally once and manage this club in an Robert's Rules demaner. Nothing but, excuses and " I'm sorry" from the employees. Shipments

Living in the Bay we have had the opportunity to visit many wineries over the years but our last weekend tour and tasting experience with Minor was one of a kind - beautiful. Their lovely relaxing ambiance is so charming. All the wines we sampled were absolutely excellent. We truly enjoyed meeting and chatting with our host Pablo. Will be definitely coming back!

We were underwhelmed! Our "host" was watching us the entire time (super creepy) and we brought some cheese (starving) and she said we were not allowed to eat a thing! Seriously! We are living in Napa and have relationships with nearly every proprietor in the valley and will not be coming back to Miner! Not only was our host super socially awkward and out of her comfort zone but made us feel very very very uncomfortable! She should have said "guys we are technically not permitted but sure have a BITE of your bread stick" - especially when we're drinking and have low blood

Was back in the Napa area with my fiance, and we had to pay a visit to our favorite winery! We stopped in for a tasting before a dinner reservation, and it was perfect. We were greeted right when we got there with a complimentary pour. It's $35 per person to taste, and they were super obliging when we said we were sharing since we had to drive to dinner! We sat out on the patio which is gorgeous with the best view. The tasting included 6 wines (including the welcome wine), but we ended up getting 2 extra just by asking to try a couple of other wines they make! Our server was also really knowledgable

Came after a recommendation from a friend. The winery feels very small compared to the extravagance of the others in the area but you feel that homey feeling and that hard work they put into the wines that they make. I came around noon and it was sparsely occupied with a few guests. We were able to sit at table that was open outside in the patio. We were treated to 5 wines from wines to reds with a bit of explanation with each. The place seemed like a great start to our trip to Napa. It feels no frills compared and the place is just there for you to enjoy the views and enjoy the company. The wines

If you aren't local and have a limited amount of time to explore Napa Valley Wine Country, I would recommend putting Miner on your "must" list. I live in the area and I'm a club member and out of all the choices I could've picked from, I joined Miner. Great atmosphere and the people pouring are amazing. They don't make you feel uncomfortable or out of place, and that's hard to find in this area especially. You can relax and enjoy your tastings over looking the beautiful valley. Definitely check it out.

Stopped by Miner Family Vineyards after a recommendation of another winery. I couldn't remember why the name sounded so familiar, and then it hit me - they have a stage at Bottle Rock!
Cute and ... more importantly... air-conditioned tasting room!! We went up on a day that hit triple digits and this was the last winery of our visit, so needless to say, we were dying of heat exhaustion. No need for reservations, a major plus. The wines we tasted were great, but the customer service was phenomenal!
Our pourer John was friendly and hilarious! We were celebrating a friend who is heading off

Winery reviews should be about the wine primarily and the tasting experience secondarily. If you've heard of Miner, you've probably heard of The Oracle. It's the high end signature wine, named because Dave Miner the owner was an early employee of the tech company.
The 2013 Oracle ($100) doesn't disappoint but there's plenty more here to like. The 2014 Cab Franc ($58) is outstanding but hard to get. If you can find one, buy it. I'm also a big fan of the 2014 Gary's Pinot ($60). It's a lighter color than some pinots and don't be surprised if you taste

Located on the Silverado Trail, Miner is a good place to include on your Napa Valley wine tasting agenda for its wide selection of reds and because it has a glorious balcony view of the Oakville and Rutherford AVAs and valley floor. Their cabernet sauvignon is solid, as is their flagship Oracle blend, which contains a mixture of cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, merlot, petit verdot, and malbec.
The overall tasting room experience is accessible and casual, and you can supplement it with a cheese pairing and/or a tour of their caves. Definitely worth a visit if you like to taste and try different
