Very nice long weekend here. The room was obviously newly remodeled and everything was brand new. All the fixtures were first class and very comfortable. The bed was incredible.
The staff was wonderful in all cases and the food and drink was something special. The Valet guys were super.

The staff was outstanding, continually ready to help. The attendant who really look at us in was particularly useful and clarified everything completely. He recalled our name and was continually ready to assist with whatever we really wanted, astounding staff individuals! We likewise enjoyed how clean the lodging was, the cleaning staff is brilliant. I will prescribe this inn to my loved ones.

Came for a wedding and ended up booking this place with another couple that we were traveling with. Got two queen beds but even then, the price is way over inflated. The beds themselves are fairly old and pretty uncomfortable, as are the pillows. The bathroom is also fairly old, there's a lot of wood all over including around the bathtub, the ceilings and all in all, gives it a look that it much desires some TLC.

It's right by the road which is not such a big deal as at least this was easily identified by other reviews and looking at the map. However, the pictures definitely did not

I love Summerland and had always noticed when passing by that the Inn on Summer Hill was so cute. I was delighted to finally be able to stay here for two nights. The place has a ton of potential and was probably very nice a few years ago, but it is in desperate need of some TLC right now. It is WAY, WAY overpriced for what it is, at close to $800 for 2 nights. I think half that price is more in-line with what should be charged, based on the looks of the place in general and the rooms. Charging $2 for additional bottles of water - at the price they are charging for rooms, I thought this was silly

WARNING: The post is long but worth the read. I'm all about posting positive reviews but unfortunately, the experience with Inn on Summer Hill, has been a very unpleasant experience from the start and I feel it… 's important to share with others.
We booked the hotel for two nights and had to cancel outside the cancelation policy. The cancelation policy is within 7 days and we canceled within 5 days. I completely understand and respect the policies in place but I was told the small 16 room Inn was near full capacity due to an event that weekend not to mention mid-summer and they would have

This is a very nice, clean and tastefully appointed b&b. Manager was very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast, fresh juice, coffee, and a surprise fresh chocolate chip cookie in the evening!! My only wish: firmer pillows on bed!!

Top notch service. I felt so at home here. The front desk manager was amazing right from the beginning. Great quaint location. Delicious breakfast and the cook was the sweetest. This is my first bed and breakfast experience and I honestly prefer it over a luxury hotel experience. It feel like I'm visiting my mom's for vacation bc of how they take care of you. They closed early because it's 4th of July. My husband got food poisoning from eating at a bistro in Santa Barbara. The front desk manager was kind enough to open up just to give me a portable cup and jasmine tea to help his

We had a great trip 4th of July trip here. Rooms were clean, big, great views. Service was excellent. Have free breakfast, tea, cheese and wine offerings. The views of the ocean are amazing. Jacuzzi was nice way to relax after drive in. If you do not have a car Uber or Lyft into Santa Barbara may take a few tries as drivers canceled, but there is a public bus available, which takes some planning. Check out A Sacred Place and Oceanview Park nearby.

My major complaints: the room, specifically the bathroom, smelled bad from the first moment we stepped in. I think it came from the sink in the bathroom, not an easy fix. There was no Wi-Fi and there was no cable available on the TV. That was a major disappointment. The lighting was bad in the room as well, had to rely on little lamps that were ineffective. The pros: comfortable bed, cooked breakfast. But overall, the rooms were overpriced. Dated and unimpressive.

Poor experience and poor management. I do not recommend this lazily managed hotel. Hygiene standards we could expect for this price and smile are far away. A lot of motel around where the quality and the value is good. Stay away from this motel if you mind about basic service standards.

We enjoyed our time in this hotel at Summer Hill. We had a great ocean front view, fire place and balcony space to enjoy our breakfast and view. The breakfast and wine complimentary was extraordinary by the chef on property. There was a near by horse back riding company "Los Padres Outfitters" that escorted us to a nearby beach excursionon on the horses. We had a wonderful experience and stay.

We stayed here for the first night of our Honeymoon. The place is charming with nice ambiance. Our room was huge and beautiful with a nice view and a large balcony. Breakfast was delivered to our room due to COVID restrictions and we ate out on the balcony. I can't wait to come back when COVID has passed to enjoy the full amenities of the hotel.

When we arrived we were greeted with wine and delicious hor d'oeuvres. Our room was welcoming with classical music and a vintage feel. I am picky about hotel beds but this was by far the most comfortable. Bedding was as soft as butter. We enjoyed our breakfast on the balcony the next morning. It was a perfect getaway.

Have always loved this hotel! Called to make a reservation for my birthday in August. The website stated it is a "no pet" hotel so we explained that we would be bringing my service dog.

Front desk employee stated that they charge a $50 cleaning fee -ahead of time- for service dogs.

My husband asked if the hotel was aware that under the ADA law, it is illegal to charge a cleaning fee for a service dog, "prior" to checking in? Only if there are subsequent damages.

We were told that management had issued a memo which made this a requirement and it was mandatory.

I have never

We had reservations for Labor Day weekend. The airline cancelled our flight so we made alternate arrangements and no longer needed the reservation.

The Inn refused to waive the $25 cancellation fee. IMO this is a money grab and borderline theft. It's not a last minute thing. They've got 6 weeks to rebook the room. They offered to give us the $25 as a credit towards a future stay. No thanks. Not with such unfriendly business practices.

Why this place is great for health-conscious couples who want a romantic getaway:
- Ocean views
- Well appointed rooms include great climate control, fireplace, high end toiletries, and comfy beds.
- 2 occupant max per room policy, otherwise 4 max but with extra charges per person. Not that many rooms so intimate setting.
- Made to order breakfast, hors d'oeuvre with wine in the afternoon, and desserts in the evening; all included but of course don't be shy to tip.
- Number one reason I'll return: Non-smoking and no pets policy. Can't stand the snowflakes who drag their poor

A charming Inn right off the highway in Summerland. We had booked the hotel by recommendation from a friend we were visiting that lives nearby.

The highlights are the following; the bedroom we chose was in the middle of the hotel second level with a balcony that had a clear view of the ocean. The rooms are have peak wood ceilings with a sizable comfortable bed, flatscreen TV on the wall, fireplace, and plenty of room.

The accommodations include a outdoor hot tub, afternoon wine & auerdorves, and a wonderful personally made breakfast.

The rooms are somewhat quiet when your door is closed

3 WORDS to describe the INN at Summerland:
CHARMING, RELAXING, HOSPITABLE!!
This a long overdue review. Discovered this BnB a number of years ago. Served to put up a big part of our wedding party 3 years ago.
This is the perfect alternative to staying in Santa Barbara.
Every charming room has an ocean view, canopied beds,
and great woodwork floors and ceilings. An excellent breakfast (not Continental) is included each morning, not to mention delicious snacks and wine late afternoons.
Parking could not be better and more convenient!
Lastly, and I must mention this, the primary INNKEEPER CHRISTOPHER

Inn On Summerhill is a very spacious and comfortable B&B where cozy meets relaxing. We were up North for a quick turnaround trip and this was a nice spot that we found that halfway between Ojai & SB that was not off the radar completely, but still close enough that you could hop on the freeway close by and get to where you needed to go to explore, shop and eat.

The Inn has a parking lot out front that could probably fit at least 15 cars tightly. Head up the steps to the front desk to check in and there's a little dining hall in the back where you can enjoy your complimentary breakfast

First of all, their beds are SO comfortable... definitely the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. My favorite things about the stay here: nicely decorated room, high ceiling, nice balcony with ocean view, comfortable beds, good complimentary breakfast, free hor d'oeuvres and wine from 3-5 PM, and turn down service.

However, this place gets 4 stars instead of 5 because there are few things they can really work on. On the first night, we decided to try their hot tub that is available for all the guests. The water wasn't hot enough and the jets weren't working except for

My husband and I went there almost 8 years ago and it was a wonderful resort. The management was beautifully handled, courteous and helpful. This past year we went back there for our second honeymoon and were shocked by the changes. Not only did we find someone's underwear in our sheets, but we were reprimanded from getting a second helping of h'ors oeuvres. The new branch manager was rude, curt and unprofessional. We are so sorry that this once beautiful sanctuary has become a low class hole. We recommend you stay away from this facility.
