Haven Yoga Studio is an Indianapolis wellness space where people of different identities can gather, practice, learn, and cultivate community together. We center the experiences and needs of marginalized and unappreciated groups. Our aim is to be of service to people on the journey of liberating their mind, body, spirit, and community through the tools of yoga, meditation, and other wellbeing practices.
We center those most marginalized in the yoga and wellness industry: black women, femme folks, LGBTQIA+ folks, elders, those with chronic pain, big bodies, etc. are supported and affirmed in this space.

You don't need anything fancy, just think loose or fitted stretchy clothing you'd wear to play a sport or lounge at home! Charlie and all the instructors are personable and REAL! I started going because it is a Black Woman owned studio, near me, and where folks looked like me. After a couple of visits, I took my mom to the intro class on Sundays, taught by Charlie. Mom has always been a fitness enthusiasts, and has been looking for something that she enjoyed as much as Jazzercise back in its heyday.
From that first class she was hooked on yoga, and head-over-heels for Charlie! And Charlie was so sweet to, and suppotive of her. More importantly, Mom had found her groove again. Myself, I had an immediate connection

Haven Yoga is a nice fairly new addition to the commercial node around 42nd and Blvd which has some long time businesses and several other new ones. The storefront is small but the space is long and narrow and more room than I expected although we had a class of about 15 today and room was pretty full at that number of students. The registration/reservation process online was simple and straightforward and you pay once you get to the studio. Owner, Charlie is super welcoming and energetic. She ended today's practice with a long shavasana with a shoulder press and quick simple forehead rub

This place honestly blew me away. I had such a great class. As a beginner in yoga, I was really intimidated coming into the class, but Mitzi did an amazing of reading the room for abilities and made it a very comfortable class, but still challenging us. I do some pretty intense HIIT training during the week, so balancing that with the great stretches that came from this class will help a lot. We also did a ton with meditation too. Music choice was great. I can't recommend this place enough.

What a wonderful place. This was my first time visiting Haven and attempting Yoga. Charlie was absolutely wonderful from beginning to end. I was greeted for my Wednesday soul yoga session with a warm smile from Charlie (instructor / owner / magician / controller of energies ) lovely music and a peaceful sandalwood scent that took away all anxiety of trying yoga for the first time. I cannot wait to visit again and strengthen my mind and abilities to practice yoga. Oh but did I mention how great the music was... and smell and everything ... everything.

When I walked into Haven Yoga Studio I immediately felt so warm and cozy and I knew I'd like this place. I was greeted by Charlie, the owner. Such a sweet and personable lady with a passion for yoga. The studio is still under construction, so don't let the exterior turn away. Inside it's warm, inviting, and filled with light.
The 1 hour Flow class with my instructor, Jacqueline, was a delight. She as such a soothing voice and really worked at a pace comfortable for the class. She was encouraging and her workout put a fire in my hips and other parts of my body that needed the kinks
