We are a family owned vineyard and winery located in Paso Robles, California. Our focus on quality begins in the vineyard with low yields to produce intense flavors. All the fruit is hand harvested and immediately sorted and processed at our estate winery while the fruit is still cold and fresh. Within the winery the wines are processed and aged to bring out the best the varietal has to offer.
Once the wines are finally released, they are ready to be consumed. We strive to deliver the highest quality wines at affordable prices so you can enjoy them with friends and family daily. The genesis of the wine story for Pear Valley began in the late 60's when owner Tom Maas was stationed on an army base in Germany.in the midst of a vineyard. Here he learned to love both wine and the vineyard. Decades later, when the kids were grown and responsibilities waned, he was free to pursue his dream of owning and living in a vineyard.

I was frantic a week prior looking for wine tastings and stumbled across Pear Valley and found a 1:30PM reservation that worked for my schedule. This was my girlfriends first wine tasting ever and it couldn't have gone any better.

Love visiting this winery. I am a happy wine club member! There is a type a wine for everyone. Such a friendly atmosphere. You can bring your own food to pair with wine and enjoy, or buy charcuterie boards there. Some days they have live bands to listen to and enjoy while sipping on the delicious wine.

We've been to Paso Robles a few times now and this was our first time to Pear Valley. Our tasting was so wonderful, the wines were all very delicious, and Tyler who helped us was very knowledgeable about everything. He was so attentive, even remembering to circle back to wines we asked about but that he recommended we taste at the end. Tyler made the experience phenomenal and so memorable for us. 10/10 would come back again next time.

We came on Thanksgiving weekend and this place was reservation only. We booked the reservation about a week in advance. We were seated right away. There was plenty of space between each table and all servers were wearing masks.
The view was nice and the ambiance was very peaceful. I didn't really care for our server but she could have been overwhelmed by the tables she was serving.
I would recommend this place to others for the environment. Our tasting fees went towards the bottles which is so nice.

Out of all the wineries in the area, my wife and I chose this spot because of its expansive, panoramic views. We were amazed with the view and also how great the staff was. Since we were the first ones to arrive that Saturday morning, the red-head waitress/sommelier was our go-to person. She was very knowledgeable with the wines on the list and even brought out some wines that weren't on the list for us to try. Even though I am typically a red wine drinker, their white wines were the star between the two. The Stainless steel chardonnay and Frizzante were delicious. We ended up buying two bottles

Pear Valley was our favorite stop on a recent trip to Paso Robles. Phenomenal vineyard views, friendly and helpful staff and a great selection of wine. We both really enjoyed our tasting and got a bottle each of the Viognier and the Frizzante home. So many good options to choose from. There was only one other group on a well distanced table. Highly recommend Pear Valley and hope to return soon.

The staff at Pear Valley is apparently uninformed and incompetent. I emailed to make reservations for a larger group and ask if accommodations could be made. I was well aware that larger groups could be difficult under normal circumstances let alone COVID conditions. Both the wine club manager (Allysha - email) and Assistant Tasting Room manager (Tina - phone) informed me that they could accommodate my group and sent me a confirmed reservation (August) via text. They were accommodating my group by splitting us into COVID-compliant smaller tables.

We had an appointment yesterday and had an enjoyable time. Tina our host was very nice. We did a wine tasting and enjoyed several delicious wines, whites and reds. For our wine tasting side-trip on our way up the coast last weekend, for the most part, for obvious reasons, I prioritized tastings that were complimentary for one reason or another, of which there were plenty. But I made sure to add this one to my list as well, as I had noticed they had several very affordable dessert wines (we're always in the market for good dessert wine), and that the $10 tasting fee was waived with just one bottle purchase.
