Visit us today at our Dry Creek Valley winery in Healdsburg and enjoy a glass of wine overlooking the vineyards. Wilson Winery is distinguished not only by its outstanding wines, but by the twin pillars of family and tradition on which its reputation rests. The tradition pre-dates the winery's founding in 1992 and is evident in the century-old tin barn that houses the Wilson's facility.
One of the oldest structures in the legendary Dry Creek Valley, the barn has been lovingly restored by Ken and Diane to provide a state-of-the-art venue for their award-winning winemaking while offering glimpses into both a storied past and a promising future.

Nice late fall weather, slightly overcast and cool. Nice view of the vines turned yellow just after harvest. We're visiting all the Wilson owned wineries.
Nice Halloween weekend. Shaggy served us some great wines. Shaggys descriptions were on the mark. The best wines were off the menu; we brought our own snacks ( cheese, chocolate, chips ). Nice and relaxed atmosphere.

The atmosphere of this winery is unmatched. The patio is so laid-back with music playing and beautiful views of vineyards. They're also dog friendly! It was clear the staff was very busy when we went, but they were so kind and knowledgeable we didn't even mind. Highly recommend adding this winery to your list!

This winery is charming and a bit rustic, Wilson's is a Zin house and they only have Zin!
Normally I would say with absolute conviction that I am not a fan of Zinfandel's that being said, I am here, and I will taste, that is what I do! Lol
The tasting room was cozy with all these darling trinkets for sale, that were all about wine and doggies!
We did a full tasting and to my shock and awe! I loved them and I have never said that about a Zinfandel.
My friends that love Zinfandel always say a good Zin has a peppery flavor, I have never been a fan of of that.
Coming here changed all that

On my drive up Dry Creek Rd, this little gem stuck out to me. I was able to sit down and enjoy a glass, with a phenomenal view, without any reservation of a beautiful Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Paul had a packed patio, but he maintained a great service, and kept myself and the others enthralled. I plan to return with my girls and enjoy a day of festivities here. Definitely give this place a try.

I'm a wine drinker. Thank goodness I live in Sonoma County...where I could never visit all the fabulous wineries in a lifetime. I noticed recently--this being Covid-times and all--that I tended to reach for Wilson wine more often than not from my big collection at home. But then the inevitable wine club shipment email would come though and I'd think--I have plenty of wine...I don't need to spend another few hundred right now, let's cancel. So cancel I did. BUT--I still had a shipment to pick up so I made the mandatory appointment/ reservation for tasting on the deck and my husband

Wilson, Wilson, Wilson! The mothership of all of the Wilson family wineries, and rightfully so. Amazing wines, stunning views, and standup service. What more could you really ask for?
Some friends and I stopped by Wilson on Independence Day for a tasting and we had an absolute BLAST! First of all, how many other wineries in the Dry Creek Valley do you know of that are open on the 4th of July? Not too many. So for that alone, I'm so grateful. Because, who wouldn't want to spend a day celebrating American independence by sipping on delicious wine?!

Wilson Winery is one of the most beautiful wineries I have ever been to. There is a deck that overlooks the vineyards. My group and I made reservations here and we were seated right away and taken care of from the staff. The service was phenomenal, however I wish they would have talked to us a little bit more about their wines. Nonetheless, we really enjoyed the two people who took care of us yesterday.
In my honest opinion, I prefer Mazzocco slightly more, only because of their Zins (take my opinion with a grain of salt. Wine is all preferable), however I would choose Wilson Winery for larger

I suppose it is time that I update my review of Wilson Winery. It is still a lovely place to visit and I am still annoyed that I must go inside to get my next glass of wine, instead of being served outside. Alas, it truly is a beautiful place to spend a Saturday afternoon. Or, a Thursday afternoon if you're fancy!
T'was the 4th of July and my friends planned an afternoon of wine, charcuterie and laughs. We spent 3 hours here enjoying our platter of cheese and meats, fruits and wines. We watched people come and go, giving love to the dogs that passed us by. The homes in the hills beyond

The winery is very beautiful and spacious outside seating area over looking the vineyard. However, staff hospitality is terrible. My friends and I came here to taste a wine and buy a bottle to share at the winery. The lady who was working didn't say hello, nor introduce herself or anything, just asked how many glasses. As I was counting everyone, she rudely pointed directly at me and asks, "are you even 21? I need to see your ID". So of course I pull it out and show her. She does not ask anyone else in the entire group for theirs. I understand you have to make sure everyone is old

This is only a review on the grounds since we waited but were unable to get a tasting. We were obviously drawn in by the large horse like sculpture in the front. Made sure to climb up and get some pictures!
We walked around outside and sat on the deck but it was fairly overcast during our visit. The views were great from sitting on the deck.
We went inside to attempt a tasting but it was crowded and for nearly 20 minutes we could not get service so we ended up continuing on our wine journey.

We had a great time at Wilson! It was a beautiful day with a beautiful view. The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable. There was country music playing and there was a dog (enough said?). There was a lot of outside seating and the huge coyote statue out front is quite the sight. Their Zins were big and bold and juicy and they were even more enjoyable because we got to taste them outside. Definitely looking forward to our next visit. :)

It is always a bad sign when you smell smoke outside. We dropped in at 4:40pm on Sunday and were rudely informed that there would be no more tastings today. Apparently this is SOP as you can see from other reviews. There were at least 6 staff people milling about but apparently they were more interested in closing shop early than serving prospective buyers. Most wineries have been happy to accommodate us near closing time as we usually buy half a case or more. Your loss.
