5 stars!!! Luckily the first two recommendations we found were horrible and my fiancé found James online. 3rd time is a charm. James and his time are very friendly and knowledgeable and were a complete pleasure to work with ( Stephanie, Jessica, and the rest of the team). I don't know that I would've survived the mortgage process without the talent and care of the professionals at PDX Home Loans under James Adair's supervision. I cannot begin to tell you how terrible this group was to work with. As someone with a background in real estate I was stunned to see the complete lack of oversight after my initial meeting with James, which went so well. I contacted James for help with a cash-out refinance. He asked some straightforward questions to determine my situation and then laid out my options honestly without making me jump through a bunch of hoops like other lenders I contacted. James wasn't trying to "make a sale" and actually dissuaded me from doing the refi and instead steered me towards a HELOC with my credit union. I was very impressed as he was the only broker telling not to do the refi. He even threw in some free investment advice!

Personally though, I cannot speak of any grueling process myself, because James and his team were so helpful and on point, they made the whole process as stress free as possible (and let me tell you, this is definitely a time one needs less stress in their lives). In fact, my biggest worry the entire time was that I was missing something, and something would go wrong, because it just felt too simple and easy.

I emailed James a few questions, he was super friendly and helpful.
I am not able to qualify for a mortgage for another few years, but James was still helpful and encouraging. Most home loan guys would not give me the time of day, let alone respond to my email in a helpful manner.
