There are many staffing agencies in the DC area but none are as friendly and supportive as Contact 1. From the minute you walk into their office you feel welcomed and valued. I don't know what I would have done without the Contact 1 team. I moved to DC from a small town and didn't have any connections. Isabel and the rest of Contact 1 helped me find the perfect career in the DMV area and supported me throughout the contract-to-hire process. I am new to washington DC and I was in the area of Contact 1. I walked in and stated that I didn't have an appointment but I was new and could I talk to someone. This was at around 10am. They didn't have any recruiters there, which I thought was unprofessional at 10am but anyways the lady that came out to talk to me, gave me the up down look and looked at my resume I told her about my 17 years in customer service and hotel experience. and other work. She just was rude and said we don't do anything in hotel or restaurants we do administration work. I advised her that I have done other things other

Despite being frustrated by my job search experience, the recruiter I spoke with was kind, understanding and took the time to hear me out. That really stood out to me. I feel like most recruiters are a bit too pushy. I ended up taking a job back home in Maine but I really appreciate that Contact 1 took the time to speak with me when I was feeling lost in my job search.

I cannot recommend Contact 1 enough, and have to many of my friends trying to figure out their next step. I moved to DC after a gap year following graduation without a job, hoping to figure it out. I found my way to Contact 1 and as the first temp agency I had ever worked with, I did not know what to expect. Kendall and Katherine (who has since left, I believe) were beyond welcoming and helpful as I asked my many questions and had me out there within days. My first job they offered me I nearly turned down due to lack of confidence that I was qualified, but Kendall convinced me to give it a try

Contact 1 is a great staffing agency; as a temp. worker for several month while searching for a full-time position, they offered me consistent jobs with good wages. They also regularly asked for my feedback on posts and - while it seems unlikely that this affected the cliental they choose - I do feel they strive to make their temp. workers as comfortable as possible in a for-profit system and so they used my feedback to place me with clients where I would enjoy working.

This agency is wonderful. Good jobs with great pay rates. Work comes often and they keep up with you when they get new assignments, which they are eager to fill. I work only temp and have had fantastic assignments in wonderful places around DC that I really enjoyed working.
Kendall is great, and does an efficient job. This is the main agency I recommend to my DC friends looking for new work. I'll be happy to work for them again the next time I'm in DC.

When you say you're going to return someones call, you should probably return their call. Its just the professional thing to do. Especially after several attempts of trying to have an in depth conversation of what I was looking for. I felt very rushed when I finally did get the chance to have a conversation and like I was an "annoyance" to this said individual. Just the tone of the conversation was very crass. It's crazy because I went off of all the five star ratings that I saw, so I'm wondering...how?? It's so hard to find a staffing agency that

For some crazy reason, something called "bills" need to be paid so I turned to Craigslist to find a part-time gig and came across an ad posted by Contact 1. I was a little skeptical at first about staffing agencies (I'm a skeptic about everything) but decided to give them a try.
I was contacted and was in their office the next day filling out paperwork for payroll. I was set up with a position to work at a non profit call center that very evening! I really couldn't believe how easy and quick it was considering I've had harder times placing orders at drive thrus. Everyone

Contact 1 was honestly the only recruitment agency that I worked with (and I worked with 10-15 this summer) that was remotely helpful to me. They listen to what you are looking for as far as jobs go, and don't recommend you to random jobs that are unrelated to your interests- which is what I've found the other agencies do. I worked with Garrison, and he was extremely professional and helpful. He found me both temp jobs to supplement my income and temp-to-hire positions, one of which I now hold. He is great with communication- very prompt with emails and calls.

First let me start by saying this is by far the BEST recruiting agency EVER!! The staff is very outgoing, friendly and accommodating. I told Garrison and Katie exactly what I was looking for based on my previous experience and where I'd like to go and they have been beyond successful with their expertise in placement of candidates. After finding Contact1, I no longer have a need to entertain the thought of joining other Staffing companies. If you want a job whether it be Temp, Temp-to-Hire or Direct Hire. I strongly recommend Contact1.
