Our oceanfront 1900 sq ft two-bedroom, two-bath Turtle Cove Cottage was recently remodeled and is the perfect accommodation for two couples traveling together or a family of three-six. The cool trade winds enter through the large sliding doors which open onto the oceanfront lanai (decks) and the soothing sound of the surf is heard throughout the lovely two-story cottage.
Each Studio vacation rental unit is 800 sq ft in size and is a cozy and comfortable retreat for couples. The door to your vacation rental opens up to beautiful panoramic views of the ocean. Each Studio features a private oceanfront lanai, luxurious furnishings, Hawaiian artwork, romantic window seats, Simmons Beautyrest king bed with fine linens, spacious bathroom with a 6 ft.
The oceanfront Toyabrown Penthouse is located just steps from the water. The spacious oceanfront lanai, views of world class surf breaks and huge sea turtles playing below, all create a serene Hawaiian experience. A short walk leads you to some of the best snorkeling on the island and the world renown Beach House restaurant.
Our 2650 sf two-bedroom, three-bath, single-story "Poipu Kai" Cottage was recently remodeled by James Parsonson and is simply spectacular. The cottage now has an open living, dining and kitchen design, two master suites, a den, and a large media room, and is furnished with a casual elegance.

Hawaii's green sea turtles, Honu (pronounced hoe-new), are named for the color of their body fat, which is green from the algae that they eat. They are primarily herbivorous. These turtles migrate as far as 800 miles from their feeding areas along the coasts of the main Hawaiian islands to their nesting beaches in the Northwestern Hawaiian islands.

This has been a rough property management company to deal with. They randomly canceled our booking, their excuse was that we were going to have an event with 25 people at their VRBO that houses 8 people. When we told them this was not the case they did not respond, and would not answer any of our phone calls or emails. Save yourselves the trouble and stay somewhere else.

When Kauai was shut down for Covid last year, Lori Parsonson, owner of Coastline Cottages, pleaded with us to roll our prepaid (including cleaning, tax etc.) VRBO booking forward once the island reopened, rather than request a refund under VRBO Covid procedures. In an effort to be supportive at a difficult time, we agreed to do so. For the last several weeks we have been trying to reach Parsonson/Coastline, but they are not returning calls or emails. We can be understanding and flexible if Coastline is having financial difficulties, but there is no excuse for not communicating with us.

Coastline cottages, specifically turtle cove cottages, is one of the best places you can stay on Kauai. The host is very accommodating and helpful, gave great insights on things to do on the island.
We stayed here over 8 years ago, and it still holds a fond memory in our hearts. We loved waking up each morning and seeing the turtle swim into the cove to wash your face off in the fresh water stream.
If you are looking for a place to stay that isn't at a resort, and is also away from most of the chickens - we never had any of them bother us or wake us up in the morning - this is the place you should
