We are proud to say that Brandywine Child Care and Preschool has over 10 years of serving the Delaware communities of Wilmington and Claymont. With more than three decades of knowledge, our administration and teachers are well versed in early childhood education. All students benefit from our comprehensive program that includes aspects of learning to develop cognitive and exploration skills among others.

Brandywine is a year-round school open for ages 1-12. We build strong relationships with our parents, so they feel confident in the quality education their children receive - at realistic prices. Parents know we care for each family that puts their child's education into our trust every day. Our daily goal is to create a safe and secure environment where children have the best opportunity to learn.
Services
Our staff is passionate about providing high quality childcare services to working families. We have developed cooperative relationships with the Brandywine School District and regularly participate in meetings with BSD staff members to assist our students and their families. We pride ourselves on offering reliable and professional education for your children.
Our one year old program has been designed to encourage play to stimulate growth and development. You don't have to wear shoes in this colorful environment. Our teachers provide lessons based in the Funshine Curriculum. This curriculum is forward-thinking, comprehensive, research-based and research-proven.
This large space encourages children to interact with one another and with their teachers on a regular basis in a safe environment. Our two year old class enjoys a large space to get children to interact with one another and adults. It provides a safe environment for this learning to occur. Growing on what they learned in their one year old class, we incorporate what they learned about discovery, sensory, dramatic and self-help skills.
Our three year olds enjoy a bright and sunny classroom where they can practice their developing skills in an age-appropriate setting. Our students learn to cooperate in group settings, and work on large and small muscle skill development. You will notice a visible growth and increase in their speech and communication, as well as their curiosity and cognitive function.
They also grow social skills by learning cooperation, solving problems and thinking outside the box. Children continue to develop both small and large muscle groups through both indoor and outdoor play and learning activities. As with all of our classrooms, lesson plans are developed using the nationally recognized Funshine Curriculum Program.

Positive: Quality, Value
My daughter Ellie had a wonderful experience at Brandy Wine. The teachers and staff are great people and they stay open during bad weather and holidays. I recommend Brandy Wine to any parents in the area with young kids!

Brandywine has been a lifesaver to my two little monsters Geryll and Rocko! The staff is wonderful with the boys, and they come home extremely happy every single time they go to Brandywine. I have recommended Brandywine to several of my friends and would feel comfortable recommending it to anyone!

Brandywine Childcare & Preschool has absolutely changed my life! I have had a tough time finding somewhere that I trust is both taking care of my children and enriching them educationally. I now know that when I drop my children off each day they will come back with greater personal and educational development. I highly recommend considering Brandywine if you are in the Wilmington area!

I have three kids at Brandywine. A 3 year old who absolutely love her teacher ms Kira. And twin one year olds. I love me Andrea. She shows my babies so much TLC. We were only there a few months before covid19 stopped me from working. I pray it ends soon because my kids miss their friends and the wonderful teachers!!

Incredibly friendly staff that continues to keep my nephew feeling like he is staying at his second home. I have no complaints. My mind is at ease knowing he is in good hands and I can continue to work and provide for him without any stress or anxiety concerning his well-being.

The summer program is awesome! My son went sailing on an old fashioned ship, went to the art museum, has cooking and yoga classes and is going on a trip to a farm in the country next week. He loves his teachers and the new director. I am a very happy parent at Brandywine.

Not sure where to start. My child has been connected to this place for long enough to provide a decent review. He truly enjoys his friends. However, my biggest concerns are regarding safety, cleanliness, order and turnover.
First, anyone can show up and pick up a child. There is no safety and the woman at the front desk barely looks up. I’ve had family members pick up my son (last minute)and never were even asked for identification.
Also, the before and aftercare program is understaffed, the staff do not have any control of the classroom. I even had my child come home with his homework completed
