A Best Environmental, LLC. has been improving the health of people and conditions of homes since 2001. We began as a drug lab decontamination contractor and have been involved with over 500 drug contaminated properties. We've become the largest Clandestine drug lab contractor in the northwest servicing about two-thirds of the projects in Oregon and Washington.
Because your family's safety will ultimately depend on the levels that the radon is reduced to after mitigation, our primary goal is to reduce the levels to as low as possible while adapting a system that is pleasing to the eye and least intrusive to you and your family. EPA recommends reducing levels of radon to below 4.0 pCi/l (pico-curies per liter of air), and most contractors design systems that meet this standard.
What is an acceptable level of radon? The US EPA recommends that you take action if your radon level is above 4.0 pCi/l (pico Curies per Liter). What risk does high levels of radon pose? High levels of radon have been shown to increase the risk of developing lung cancer. Radon-induced lung cancer is the second highest cause of lung cancer after cigarette smoking.

Larry, the owner, was extremely unprofessional in his handling of the sample. First he tried to double the cost of the survey. Then when he took the samples he made a huge mess and left asbestos containing dust everywhere. On top of this he took samples in the most obvious places possible. When challenged on this he was rude and had an endless string of excuses. Get your asbestos surveys from another company if possible!

My husband and I are selling our house and we had our radon levels checked during our home inspection, which the levels came out high. We gave Larry a call for an estimate, and out of the many phone calls we made he was the most helpful. He even looked up our address and gave us a rough estimate over the phone as to how much it would cost. He came out the very next day. I cannot say enough good things about Larry. The seller of our house had hired A Best to install a radon mitigation system in the house at our request. By the time we moved in, the fan was quite loud, so I gave Larry from A Best a ring to come by and take a look at what was going on.
He replaced the fan from the outside within 2 days of talking to me and now you can barely hear it standing right next to the fan! Super quick service--if we ever needed a system we'd go back.

We had A Best Environmental install a radon mitigation system in our home. They did an excellent job, they did everything they said the would, when they said they would. They also completed the job quickly and cleaned up after the job as well. Their service was friendly and we were very pleased with our results. Our radon level dropped significantly and we are very happy. We would recommend them to others who are looking for a radon mitigation system.
