Though founded in 1987, the seeds for MacRostie Winery and Vineyards go back to 1974-to the early days of Sonoma County winemaking. I will be back - it is one of a few of my favorite places now, thanks to the North Bay Wine Tours for introducing this great vinery to us! Gorgeous views and gorgeous wine, absolutely-totally-completely beautiful place with contemporary styled interior and amazing gift suggestions. One of the best wine tasting experiences I’ve ever had!
My boyfriend and I did a tasting at MacRostie last
Friday morning and had a wonderful experience. We were sold from the greeting toast Chardonnay!
The view was incredible and Andy modified our tasting to include the type of wines that we like.
He was knowledgeable, fun, put up with all my questions, and completely made our experience. We just had to sign up for the membership!! Definitely will be back.

Corey was amazing! We have never had a more relatable tasting experience - he described every wine we tasted as a particular experience (open this by the fire with family, etc). And not to mention the grounds were gorgeous. We had our cat with us as this was a spontaneous stop and Corey treated him like a prince. Joined the club and will definitely be back 🤩

I was impressed by their wines, even not typically liking Pinot Noir. We wanted to branch out and try some styles that Sonoma is known for. Really pretty venue and great views from the deck. Only downside was the pace of the tasting. Our host was sidetracked by another large private group on the other side of the venue. We weren't in any hurry (thank goodness) but we still found ourselves waiting uncomfortably long between his visits. All in all, it don't regret our visit, but we liked other wineries better.

Literally the NICEST winery staff ever! A group of us went here for my 30th birthday and they were so nice to our group (not everyone likes groups as we all know!), and were still so careful to follow COVID recommendations. We felt so welcome, safe, and special here! They even greet you with a glass of wine! Truly the best atmosphere I have ever been to. I was from out-of-town when I went, but will definitely come back because I had such a great experience! Thank you so much to all the nice staff here!

Gorgeous views, tasty wine, awesome people! All I wanted while passing through the area was to taste some wine while enjoying the views of wine country, which I found to be harder to find than you might think. Many have tasting rooms without views of the vines or are urban wineries. I got what I was hoping for and much, much more at MacRostie. This place offered absolutely breathtaking views. Every single person there was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and enjoyable to chat with. I thought I didn’t like Chardonnay, but all three that I tried there were crisp, refreshing, and quite enjoyable
