My name is Christi Gmyr and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York State as well as a National Certified Counselor practicing in Baldwinsville, NY. My services include therapy near Syracuse, NY and the surrounding areas. I have been working in the Mental Health field for over 10 years in a variety of settings in both therapist and management positions.
I have extensive experience providing individual therapy to children, adolescents and adults. Academically, I have a Master of Science degree in Community Mental Health Counseling which I earned from University of Rochester in 2009.

Services
Along with the continued evolution of technology and technology-related services in society, the mental health field is expanding to include online services. Online therapy provides an alternate solution to individuals whose lives prohibit them from participating in traditional face-to-face therapy by offering video conferencing.
My office is located at 12 W. Genesee Street which is right in the village of Baldwinsville, NY. I am on the second floor, which is located directly above, 'The Deli'. My standard office hours when I see clients are Monday-Thursday from 9:30am-4:30pm. Fridays are typically reserved for continuing education and professional growth, networking events and administrative tasks.

I have had the pleasure of working alongside Christi and would be hard-pressed to think of a more genuine, empathic, passionate, person-centered therapist. She is down to earth, with a great sense of humor! It is an honor to know her--both as a colleague and a friend. The field certainly needs more people like Christi!
