Amista Vineyards
We dreamed of owning a vineyard and making wine since we first met in 1982. It took us over a decade before we'd plant our first vine, and another six years before we'd find this gorgeous vineyard in Sonoma's Dry Creek Valley. Here's a view from our cottage on Amista's estate Morningsong Vineyards.

This is the Chardonnay block from which we make our 100% Amista Chardonnay and Amista Sparkling Blanc de Blanc. These are Syrah grapes from which we make Syrah, Sparkling Syrah and Tres, a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre. We also use Syrah in the blend for Ilusion, our port-style dessert wine, Fusion, our first sparkling blend, and Sparkling Tres, our newest sparkling blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre.
Services
Come explore our estate-grown Sparkling Wines and Rhone varietal wines, including Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre in our quintessential Dry Creek setting, surrounded by breathtaking vineyard views. Sit back and relax on our new "solar powered patio" where one of our team members will provide you a friendly wine country experience from first-to-last sip, as you take in the best Sonoma County has to offer.
Amista is a celebration of friendship and we believe that wine is a discovery to be shared with friends. Our wines are not available at retail and we save the very best for our special friends - our club members. Do you enjoy wine with meals and everyday celebrations, or opening a bottle to share with friends?
Here at Amista, our wine club members are like family. We love to hear your stories of the special Amista moments in your lives. Friends of the Month receive special treats during their month as a way to say "thank you" for bringing a sparkle to our lives. We propose a toast to our Friends of the Month and all the members of our Amista family.
We invite you to join us for a virtual wine tasting experience! Your experience is completely customizable, and with the help of our incredible Tasting Room Team, we can create the perfect virtual event for you and your guests! Our custom experiences are perfect for long-distance family get togethers, corporate events, and gifts.
Created for Amista by Chef Shari of Baci Cafe and Wine Bar, for Wine & Food Affair, 2013. Our Sparkling Syrah goes beautifully with curries and this turned out to be a sensational pairing. Local Chef Katharine Browning made these tasty potato bites for our Sparkling Holidays Party in December and everyone loved them!

It has been so much fun being a part of Vicky and Mike’s dream and watching Amista grow from a little startup to a bustling happy place. We can never wait for our next chance to visit and try the newest addition to the wine family and hang out among the vines. Even at home our celebrations are never complete without some Amista bubbly. In fact, time to schedule ….

I have been a friend of Amista for many years and just love visiting the vineyard and the wonderful people there. No matter where we move, we can still enjoy their wonderful wine through our wine club membership and the communications from Amista. We love their wine on special occasions with friends and family, as well as every day for just us. I especially love their wonderful sparkling wines!

From our first visit in 2009, Mike, Vicky and their staff have gone above and beyond to make every trip to, or event at Amista an experience.
Pop the cork on a bottle of Amista wine, and you're reminded that these folks believe in more than making great wines, they are "Making Friends." We have shared our Amista experience with our friends and family over the years and without fail, everyone leaves declaring they've never felt more welcomed, or had a better time at any other winery. The fact that the wines, whether still or sparkling, red or white are amazing, is the icing on the cake!

A visit to Amista Vineyards is always a special experience…….the wonderful sparkling wines, interesting and elegant red wines. The venue is beautiful with a lovely tasting room and if the weather cooperates, seating areas nestled in the trees with views of the vineyard. I recently visited Amista with my sister from Oregon and we both throughly enjoyed our time at Amista learning about and tasting their wines. We also had the opportunity to talk with Vicky Farrow, one of the owners, and hear about the story of Amista Vineyards. Amista means “Making Friends” and every time I visit Amista

We have been regular visitors to Amista for decades and it is hands down our favorite destination in wine country. Their wines - including multiple sparkling varietals - are consistently excellent in quality and the hospitality is unmatched. Dog and family friendly with beautiful grounds for a vineyard walk. Highly recommended!

We recently visited Amista; my husband’s brother was visiting from the UK and we wanted to show him a little bit of wine country. Alex was an amazing host and was so friendly and helpful, and the wines were absolutely delicious. We loved the comfortable atmosphere in the tasting room as well. Overall a wonderful experience, I can’t recommend Amista enough!

Highly recommend a visit to Amista based on the perfect pairing of great hosts and great wine. Very nice outdoor area and dog friendly is always a plus! We went home with a few bottles as the Syrah was amazing, not to mention a full line of sparkling varietals. Essential first stop for a sparkling brunch.

We first met Vicky and Mike when building the Amista Tasting Room was still a dream for them. We have shared many happy hours at Amista, over the past decade-plus including our daughter's wedding rehearsal dinner, weekend picnics with Amista wine in the sunshine, a privately-catered dinner for business guests and many Dry Creek Valley Passport Weekends.
We can vouch for the outstanding and consistent quality of Amista wines, as we are long-time Amista wine club members. Don't miss the Sparkling wines! We are also fans of Amista's unoaked Chardonnay. Of course, Dry Creek Valley is known for their

We were immediately greeted with a glass of sparkling wine by the very lovely Kerri. She claimed to know very little about wine but was very informative and her information was interesting. The sparkling wine that we started with was dry just the way I like it. She gave us some back to back Syrah. Sorry I think the years were 2017 and 2018. One had a delish vanilla aroma. I loved the Grenache and ended up buying a bottle. We were given some extra tastings. I'm considering becoming a member even though I work at a winery and get discounts there.

I would highly recommend Amista Vineyards! This vineyard has a wide variety of wine from their many sparkling wines to Zin, Syrah, and Cab.
You can even get a whole tasting of just sparkling wines and all were delicious! Their large open air tasting room and expansive covered seating area are the perfect setting to relax and enjoy these wines. We recently brought some friends and family for a tasting along with our own snacks. Mike and Vicky (the owners) were so gracious and Maddie was delightful and informative while pouring our wines. The three couples we brought were so impressed that they

Big thank you and Sharon, you were amenable and amazing yesterday (Sunday, October 3, 2021) and really enjoyed the wine tastings on the patio. It was super hot and the wines especially the sparkling wines were a delight. Cools you off in a pleasant way. Not sure they offer a cheese or charcuterie to go with the wines but it would be nice to enjoy...although the popcorn was good. Thanks for a great experience and I would encourage everyone to check Amista Vineyards, out...you'll be glad you did!

What an amazing little slice of Dry Creek Valley heaven! My friends and I tasted here during the WineLove weekend tasting event, and Amista was personally my favorite winery out of the 5 that we tried. Everything from the setup, to the wine, to the service was absolutely wonderful. Amista specializes in sparkling wines which isn't too common in this part of the valley, but damn did we enjoy their sparkling! And not just their sparkling wines; we enjoyed ALL of their wines!

Their estate is so charming. It's cute and quaint but super relaxing and comfortable. It's great for a more

I'm not a wine connoisseur, but I'm glad I went to Alpha omega for my first wine tasting. The owners and tour guides are friendly and provided a warm and welcome environment.

I recommend walking on the self-guided tour; it's also cool that they let us eat the grapes.

The winery is on the smaller side. If you are looking for an intimate setting, I highly recommend it.

Note: Best time to go if you want to eat the grapes is around August - September. That's when the grapes are in season and can be picked.

We had such a fabulous time here, spending time with the winery owners and their two sweet pups. The wine is wonderful and we left with several bottles of sparkling - dry, well balanced, and a great reminder of a friendly and unpretentious place to visit when in Healdsburg.

This winery definitely gets props for the most beautiful vineyard seating we visited in Healdsburg. The outside seating is located right by the vineyards, so the view is absolutely breathtaking. And apparently it's a solar powered patio you're sitting on right next to the vineyard.

We didn't think we'd still be hungry after other cheese boards and caviar, but our tummy's were rumbling. So we ordered a yummy cheese and charcuterie board and a popcorn snack. The popcorn was actually super delicious and my favorite snack! I could have eaten a pound of it.

Dog friendly, outdoor wine tasting and charcuterie. We got a sparkling tasting and a regular tasting, we particularly enjoyed the sparkling wines. There is also a cute and short loop around part of the vineyard to walk when you are finished. Overall, this was an excellent choice for the afternoon and the atmosphere here was lovely and quiet.

As you walk in, you are greeted with a beautiful bubbly that was only sold to members only. They were nice but the service was extremely slow with the amount of people present. 4 tables outside taken. About 5 staff present.

Tasting reservation was made in an advance.

The winery was beautiful. It was clean. They followed Covid19 precautions, but they lack customer service. We only had 1 round of their tasting and our server, Allie never came back.

We had a beautiful bride that we wanted to celebrate here. It was our first time here and we wanted to be special. Too bad it wasnt memorable because

A Sunday July 2020 visit for Pizza day. 10" hand made pie by Mazza catering. Only two pizza versions. A sauce free goat cheese arugula fig jam pie or a sauce free Za' Atar covered crust. I bought both. $18 each. I was not wowed by either. My lovely spouse, Yelp Elite Barbara S. liked them better than I.

We bought a bottle of the $38 Chardonnay. Mildly buttery, some oak, but not offensive. A drinkable summer white wine. Again not my favorite as I prefer a more French style that features minerals and brightness from higher acid, but the Amista is acceptable.

Servers are gracious

I love this winery. I always feel welcomed. It's such a beautiful property, and the family and team their are fabulous. My friend and I visit at least twice a year. So glad they are accepting reservations, for outside social-distanced tasting.
