Proper eye care is important for people of all ages and regular eye exams are encouraged for everyone, but especially for those already using glasses or contact lenses. Your vision plays a vital role in your life each and every day, which is why it is so important to take the right steps for maintaining good eye health.
Dr. Vavricek provides comprehensive optometry and primary eye care services. Her clinical training includes diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease. She is certified to treat glaucoma and has special interests in specialty contact lens fittings, pediatric eye care and co-management of refractive and cataract surgery.
Matilda has over 5 years of experience working directly with patients to provide the quality customer service you have come to expect of Visually Sound Optometry. Matilda oversees the reception to make sure you are scheduled and prepared for your upcoming eye appointment. She is also responsible for authorizing your insurance, helps with billing and is happy to be the one to call you and inform you your glasses/contact are ready for pick-up.

Second visit. I was just about to lay down big $$$ for some glasses. While I waited for the person to look up my prescription I shared some small talk about my last pair I purchased there. I was going to return them but decided I really liked them. She responded with an unfriendly tone: "no, sorry, we don't accept returns...under no circumstances" this went on two more times about other things she doesn't like as if she were scolding me as a child.

Top notch! Beautiful office conveniently located. The entire staff were great with our five year old son. He had been apprehensive, but was put at ease immediately and got a prize from the toy chest when he was done! Now he wants to be an optometrist when he grows up. What a turn around. Our whole family got eye exams and we were happy to learn that my troubled night vision could be corrected with new anti reflective lenses and my husbands stigmatism was causing his headaches at work. I needed to find a place to bring our three year old to and after seeing Yelp reviews decided to try them out. The doctor is fantastic and did an amazing job with our three year old. My husband and I weren't really sure what to even expect. The doctor went above and beyond our expectations. Highly recommend if you need a little one evaluated. Worst Experience in customer service since I can remember.
1. Took glasses that I received from this business(which had a broken frame) to inquire about options.
All they said is that there was nothing they could do and that I didn't get them there. Well that's wrong. I called back later and they said they would have to have the glasses to make an assessment (Hello, I already brought them in for that set purpose) and so they could call for replacement parts.
2. Brought them in again. Said there was nothing they could do. Said they didn't carry those frames. Looked at new frames

I love this place. I've been going here for a while even when it was under different ownership a while back. The transition was smooth and the staff is wonderful. They have a pretty great selection of frames compared to other offices. I was also very happy with the care given to my husband after he had an accident that impacted his vision. I even took my baby here for her first visit when she was about a year old and the optometrist did such a great job with her. She was fascinated by everything and didn't even cry once.

Since being taken over, one of the new women who works there has been incredibly rude. Had an awful attitude when asked about whether or not they could order a small piece and pretty much made it seems like it was the greatest inconvenience. She obviously didn't want to do anything, even make a small repair. She said they didn't do that.

I used to love this place when it was Dr. Stacy's because of the huge selection of frames he had and reasonable prices. Now that the practice has been taken over, I find the frames to still be gorgeous but way too pricey. Even the frames covered by my insurance that I liked weren't covered in full because of their high mark up, whereas underneath Dr. Stacy's they were.

They took over for Dr Stacy who retired a few years back. Good service and the nee doctor is very nice. The prices are very expensive tho. I just wanted new lenses, had my own frames and decent insurance with VSP, cost was $210! Took my Rx to Costco for new lenses in my sunglasses $80. I will get my eye exam here, but cannot afford their frames or lenses.

This is just the best practice! The staff is incredible, the selection of frames is diverse and stylish, and it's nice to find a practice where the staff doesn't change every 3 months. I like to go in and see familiar faces. We just ordered our glasses (3 pair) on Friday, and they're ready in less than a week. Very happy!

I had a great experience at Visually Sound Optometry. Dr. Vavricek is a great doctor, extremely professional and personal. The office staff is extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. This office used to be great before they moved. Never had problems and orders were always quick turn around. Now they can't keep their heads on straight! Orders take longer than promised, they don't let you know when your item is finally there.Then, when you call to check on them, they have been there for days and it turns out the lenses are NOT what we ordered!
