Female owned and operated, J Dusi Wines is guided by its head winemaker and owner Janell Dusi. Janell was born and raised on the Dusi Vineyard where her grandfather Dante taught her the old world Italian style of winemaking. The Dusi family's heritage and history in Paso Robles Wine Country dates back to the early 1920's, where grape growing has been a craft that has deep roots in the Dusi family.
The sustainable farming practices that were implemented by Janell's great-grandparents ninety years ago are still the standard that we follow today. The unique, hand crafted quality of J Dusi Wines results from Janells intimate involvement in every step of the process: working in the vineyard, driving the tractor, hand picking her own fruit, crushing the grapes and fermenting the juice from the bins to the barrels to the bottle.

Services
Taste wines from J Dusi and Paper Street, exclusively poured here at the winery. Taste inside or on our shaded patio overlooking the vineyards. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and our award-winning wines while learning about the history of Paso Robles wine country and generations of the Dusi family preserving the Old Vine Zinfandel Vineyards.
The story of the historic Dusi Vineyard began in the early 1920s, when Sylvester and Caterina Dusi emigrated from Northern Italy and settled in Paso Robles. The Dusi Vineyard introduced some of the first Zinfandels to California's Central Coast; vineyards were rare in Old California in the early 1900's.

Great, small winery with a lot of wonderful wines. The patio is open and well decorated with bright blue umbrellas - easy to spot from the road. The staff was knowledgeable about the wines and shared their personal experiences and favorites. The wine is tasty for both the J. Dusi and Paper Street labels they pour. The place and people are very down to earth - not pretentious - and it's highly recommended to visit.

Our family has long been very sentimental about the grapes grown by Janelle Dusi's family. My father-in-law used to taste at the former Mastanuono Winery (current location of Donati Vineyard) who made a fabulous zinfandel with grapes from Dante Dusi's vineyard. Janelle, his granddaughter?, has started her own winery using the grapes from the Dusi vineyards. The wines are terrific. The tasting fee is reasonable. The servers are very friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back! Husband joined the wine club! We are new fans!

My favorite tasting room in Paso! On a recent visit, we were well taken care of by Paige and tasted a good variety of Dusi wines. The environment there is so great, Janelle (the "J" in J Dusi) came over to spend a couple of minutes with us - one of the things I love about this place is how accessible she is - and her wines are fantastic.

Was driving past and decided to stop. Was one of the busier we had been too, property was pretty but man was it WINDY. They had umbrellas set up but we had to hold them when the gusts came and the servers told us to not let go of our glasses, which was a little scary.
My husband ended up going and helping people put down the umbrellas, even though there was a handful of people working
Wine was good, found one we liked and bought a bottle, service was ok, I think they were more distracted by the wind rather than telling us about the wines

Family owned and operated. The wines are of the highest quality, locally sourced and affordable. The staff is friendly and makes you feel like a friend gathering on the patio for a visit. The views are beautiful and calming. A perfect place to be with friends. Dog friendly, kid friendly.
Sadly, due to restrictions, food or snack options are extremely limited.
The Wine Club is one of the most affordable ones in the area.

Had an appointment there...nice location...was a hot day. You sit at picnic tables with umbrellas...just very hot. The service was not very good at all. Lots of people working but it is more like a restaurant pouring wine than a tasting room for wine. No notes on the wines...no real discussion on wines...different server each time and 15-20 minutes between pours. Ended up leaving and not finishing tasting. Still paid the $20 each person tasting fee. Would not go back.

We stopped by J Dusi on the recommendation of Dawn at Brunch in downtown Paso Robles, who highly recommended their Zinfandels, and so glad we did. The patio overlooking the vineyards is a really lovely setting, and they have old trucks and other interesting things scattered on the grounds. It was heating up to be in the 100s this day, so they weren't offering tastings, due to the heat, but were offering "bottle service," which was fine with us. We got a bottle of the Zinfandel, which we enjoyed out on the patio, and they even brought us an ice bucket, so it wouldn't overheat

This was a fantastic winery. We stopped in last minute after making reservations over the phone. We had our kids with us so they put us in a nice quiet area where we could be free to taste while our children were able to roam the property and explore with ease. It was truly wonderful. The wine was excellent and we even bought a few bottles to take home. (The ZIN was our favorite but the rose was great too!) we bought cheese and charcuterie from the woman selling on the property and enjoyed our time. We ended up staying for a couple of hours. Must stop here

We did a tasting a J Dusi Wines and had a great experience.
Not only are the wines great, there's also clean grounds, good music (the band played covers of Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Eagles), and quick and friendly service.
I especially like the extra steps they took to keep the grounds sanitized - we moved to a shadier table upon request, and within a minute somebody was cleaning the table we were at. Now that's service!

The experience of going to J. Dusi wines is fun and interesting. This year, of course with the pandemic it was organized a bit differently. By that I mean that our was transaction was more efficient! But less social. It took less time, and we were not exposed to other customers or even staff. I called ahead to place our order, then drove from San Luis to Paso Robles to pick up our wine. When We got to the winery I called inside to staff. They immediately brought our order out, and put it in our trunk. I think we taken care of the financial part of the transaction over the phone. We closed up

Every time we come to the winery we are greeted by beautiful landscaping, lavender hedges, Coco the winery dog, and the most fabulous wines served by the lovely owner, Janelle Dusi. The tasting is first class complete with a flight of your choice and complimentary homemade treats to accompany the luscious wines. It is not uncommon to meet a family member as you linger sipping wines while taking in the laid back ambiance. Don't pass up a chance to visit J. Dusi!

We have come to appreciate the wonderful wines created in Paso Robles. We have visited this wine region several times dating back to our first visit in 2007. Our appreciation for the Zinfandel grape led us to J Dusi where rock star wineries such as Turley source their grapes. They say it starts in the vineyard and for us it started in the tasting room. We first visited over a year ago and was welcomed as if we were part of the family. This is a family operation and everyone we met in the tasting room treated us as if we were a close relative. We tasted through the menu and our host added some surprises
