Services
Coming from Kilmacow, County Kilkenny, John Everett was the type of strong character that Ireland sent to this country in the 1840s. After humble beginnings as a shoemaker in Cambridge, Medway, and Millis, he finally settled in Natick in 1854. Here, with a small band of Catholics, under the direction of Father John Walsh, he helped found St. Patrick's Parish in 1856.

Funerals fill an important role for those mourning the loss of a loved one. By providing surviving family and friends with an atmosphere of care and support in which to share thoughts and feelings about death, funerals are the first step in the healing process. It is the traditional way to recognize the finality of death.

The funeral director at my mother's funeral was rude and obnoxious. He put my mother's casket to the side of the room. We had to ask him to put it in the front. When we were at home preparing for the funeral, he called the house asking for us to pay the bill. At the burial, he prayed along in a loud voice. What an awful person.
