Services
Pre-Arrangement is the planning of a person's funeral needs and desires. This should include all services, selection of merchandise, biographical data, and special instructions in advance of an untimely need. Services should include professional and staff functions, facilities, equipment, and transportation needs.
At Holden Dunn Lawner Funeral Home we offer cremation as an alternative to traditional burial. If the family chooses there can still be a funeral service. Cremation provides many options for the family. We suggest visitation hours for friends and family to pay their respects. Other prefer to have a memorial service along with the cremation services.
The United States Government provides free burial in a National Cemetery to all those eligible. This includes the gravesite, opening and closing of the grave, and perpetual care. The United States Government provides headstones and markers for the graves of veterans and eligible dependents anywhere in the world which are not already marked.
A surviving spouse who lived in the same household as the deceased person at the time of death. You must apply in order to receive benefits. You may apply at any Social Security office or, if you wish, you may apply by telephone. Just dial the toll-free number 1-800-772-1213 and the operator will schedule an appointment for you or arrange for the local Social Security office to take your claim by telephone.
