Our practice is committed to providing you and your family with safe, gentle, and high-quality dental care. We understand your youngster may feel anxious about visiting the dentist. We are sensitive to children's needs, and it is our goal to make your son or daughter feel comfortable visiting our practice while we provide the best possible care.
We recommend you make an appointment to see the dentist as soon as your son or daughter gets that first tooth. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children be seen by six months after their first tooth appears, or at one year of age, whichever comes first.

Dr. Stephens and his staff are simply the best. They have such a calm and positive demeanor, our boys are totally comfortable there. We have brought our boys to two other dentists closer to our home and there's just no comparison, we will continue to go out of our way to ensure that our boys have a positive dental experience!

We had a wonderful first dental experience for my two year old! The whole process was very kid-friendly; the hygienist introduced our daughter to all the tools and let her touch them and see how they worked. Dr. Stephens was so positive and calm throughout the whole process. They even gave her stickers of her favorite cartoon character, which they asked about in advance of the appointment. Such a thoughtful and positive first visit!

Fantastic place. We switched to here based on neighbor recommendations after a terrible experience with another pediatric dentist who tried to force our daughter to do things by holding her down while she screamed. So naturally our daughter was terrified to have her teeth cleaned again. Tailwinds was very gentle and explained everything to her before they did it - what a tool was for and why they were using it and what it would taste like and how it would feel - and our daughter made it through including the X-rays which was amazing. Kind, gentle hygienist and a kind, gentle dentist. Recommend

Fantastic. After having been turned away by many pediatric dentists we were begining to feel as though our daughter who has many profound physical and cognitive disabilities would never get the dental care she needed. Thankfully Tailwind proved that was not the case, they got us on the schedule for an initial consultation with 3 weeks of the first time I called and have her scheduled to have her dental needs taken care of under anesthesia at children's less than 3 months after that! We are impressed to say the least.

I wish I could be a patient here! Dr. Stephens and the staff are patient, caring and competent. The waiting room is inviting both for kids and adults (Kuring coffee maker for the parents!). Kids get to choose stickers and a toy after the appointment too, which is a big plus for my kiddo. My 3 year old has been 3 times now for check-ups, and this past time he was particularly concerned about being at the dentist. Dr. Stephens and the hygienist were both super patient with him and got him to open up a bit and take a look. Highly recommended!
