Artesa Vineyards & Winery
In 1991, Spain's oldest winemaking family, Raventos Codorniu, ventured to a new world: a sea-facing hillside in the Napa Valley, with rocky soils and a favorable coastal climate. It was here in Los Carneros, that we planted new roots, building upon a 460-year winemaking legacy to create the next generation of Estate Grown, artisan wines.

We named it Artesa. Artesa is open for visitors once again and we cannot wait to host you! Reservations are highly recommended however, if space permits, we do accommodate walk-ins and same-day reservations.
Services
Established in 1991 by the oldest winemaking family in Spain, Artesa takes pride in blending old and new-world techniques to create the next generation of estate-grown wines. Located in the steep foothills of Mt. Veeder overlooking Los Carneros, the rocky soils and maritime climate of our Estate Vineyard produce world-class pinot noir and chardonnay.
The Raventos Codorniu family is historically passionate about art, craft, and natural preservation, so when they set out to create their first winery outside of Spain, they sought to preserve the magical landscape that lured them here, and create a work of art that would do justice to the place and the caliber of wines they knew it would someday produce.
Reservations are highly recommended however, if space permits, we do accommodate walk-ins and same-day reservations. Guests must be 21 years or older, with the exception of a designated driver, who should be over 18. Please be sure to wear a face mask upon your arrival, though it won't be required to wear during your tasting.
Artesa showcases our incomparable estate with wines and stunning views from our elegant, modern winery on a hilltop overlooking vineyards and the San Pablo bay.

In addition to your guests receiving exclusive access to our limited wines and picturesque winery, we take care of every detail: Professional event planning and assistance, votive candle decor, tables, chairs and stemware, setup and breakdown, personalized printed menus, and educational winery tours.Artesa's Salon is the primary tasting room by day and can be transformed into an elegant dining room for any evening event.
Yes, in order to allow proper social distancing we are closely monitoring the amount of guests we can host at one time. Reservations can be booked online or by calling 707-254-2126. Yes, reservations are required for all guests including members to ensure a table is available upon arrival. Reservations help not only ensure we are following proper social distancing rules but also allows us to provide our members the service they deserve.

I just visited Artesa for the first time today. I accompanied a girlfriend who is a member. We had an incredible experience. I live in SF and visit wine country frequently and have to say that Artesa is a notable place to visit. I genuinely enjoyed all of the wines we tasted which is unique for me. I must make note of Artesa employee Sylvia who was warm, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the wines. She made the tasting a very special experience.

Artesa is a splendid architectural experience that’ll be great for anyone into stylistic buildings. The views are amazing as well.
I’m pretty far from an experienced wine connoisseur, but their spanish carbenet stood out to me in the tasting session.
Charcuterie board was average at best, and they don’t have any meal options so I’ll strongly advice planning a meal before / after a tasting session

Cool spot that almost looked like an airport lounge with a fantastic view, in between the hills separated but a infinity pool. On a beautiful today, I'm sure the reelection of the sky in the water would be really pretty.

Wide selection to try starting with sparkling down to reds. We needed to rush the end because they didn't have enough staff and we needed to go. The server had to run around to cover the whole table, honestly felt so bad for him.

Then we ended up having to chug the last red . This was the most comfortable seating out of all of them with really pretty architecture

One of my favorite places! It's absolutely magical! The view is stunning the vibe extraordinary. I recommend reserving a tasting with food pairing to really have the full experience. We had the pleasure of having our very own Wine scholar (Andrew) educate us during our wine journey in Artesa! Food selected for the pairing was delicious I wanted more food and more wine.
I love the graphics on the bottles! Wish took more pictures of them.

As a female I am happy to say that the wine maker is a woman. I believe her name is Ana !

Very good costumer service. A great winery for big groups. They give you a tour and after some tasting. It’s a 2 hours activity. They don’t show you the grape vineyards only the factory and then tasting.

What a view! Absolutely gorgeous! Breathtaking! And, the sunset! Glad I got one of the late afternoon reservations and it was a perfect day, or should I say perfect date! Gorgeous day, and even more gorgeous sunset made it even more awesome! I definitely wished I had a drone at that time to take an areal shot. And, let's talk about wines now. We got their artisanal tasting, started off with a bubble sample - was ok. But, we got some really good ones afterwards. Rose was amazing - refreshing yet dry! Tempranillo!! The Spanish heritage shows off! It was great! But, for me the winner was cab

Very elegant vineyard. Showed completely booked online but called and was able get an appt from a cancellation. The wine tasting room is second floor of the building, looks like a dentist office/futuristic vibe: very elegant and enjoyable. We went on a really hot day so they had closed the patio.

They allow you to buy by the glass instead of tasting menu, which we thought may be more economical. The champagne was exquisite, followed by chardonnay. They are also known for their pinot noir. I ended up buying three bottles (they have a deal, buy 3 & 1 glass of wine is on the house). In the spur

Online reservations are very easy! Tasting is $45pp and the place is absolutely gorgeous with a wonderful hilltop view. I believe there was 5-6 tastings included. We arrived early, checked in, filled out COVID-19 forms, and went to the restroom as they got our table ready for us. Our host met us in the area in front of the restroom and when we were led to our table, it wasn't cleaned or sanitized yet. We decided to take photos on the Property for 10 min before we returned. By the time we got back, our table was set up and Drake was our server giving us water and the tastings. The wines were

Shelby truly made our experience one to remember. The day we visited was the atmospheric river. One of the reasons people said visit was for the views so imagine our disappointment with all the rain. But Shelby was truly a ray of sunshine. She thoroughly explained so much about the wines that we tasted and no question was too basic. We enjoyed the wine and ended up ordering a bottle. The inside was lovely so we still managed to take some pictures.

This was one of the most amazing places I have ever been to. The building is absolutely incredible being built into a mountain and the view from the building is also amazing.

The food and wine pairings were literally to die for. Some of those cheeses absolutely amazing.

We had a great time at Artesa Winery!

It was a bit smokey but that didn't stop us from enjoying the views. The winery is very beautiful inside and out.

We sat on the patio and did the wine tasting! Pricing is pretty normal for the wine tasting. Online states that they pair the wines with a various of charcuterie boards and so did the reviews on Yelp but they only had one to choose from. We didn't like that it wasn't offered to us -- we had to ask! It was pretty decent but pricey, $30 but we expected it.

We had pretty great servers. I forgot one of their names, but one was Keegan

**3.5 stars rounded up to 4 stars**

The view at Artesa is absolutely stunning! The pictures truly don't do it justice, but it's so nice to just enjoy a wine tasting outside overlooking the scenery. Maybe because of the state of mind when visiting this vineyard, but I don't remember anything too spectacular about the service of wine here. We tried the classic tasting ($35) and the charcuterie board (vegetarian), which all came with complimentary glasses of brut.

The host was pretty busy, and didn't seem to spend any time giving more background on the wines. He just refilled

Seriously one of my favorite wineries around. Not only are the grounds and view gorgeous but they have amazing wines. Best Tempranillo's of any winery in Sonoma and Napa county. A must stop if you're in the area but make a reservations way in advance because it's impossible to visit last minute. Favorite Pinot is the roberts road Pinot. Highly recommend!

Absolutely gorgeous! We almost always stop in when we visit Napa. One of the most scenic spots around it is a place that you need to visit. The wines are tasty and help to complete the experience. We also got a cheese plate (they altered a charcuterie plate since we don’t eat meat) which was a bit pricy at $30. We ended up taking home two bottles of wine. Overall an amazing experience on a gorgeous day!

The views here are beautiful; I went to multiple vineyards in the area and I think the views from the top of this hill were the best I'd seen. We got a small tasting and a charcuterie board (loved the board so much!). The service was prompt and the wine was definitely good but if you're looking for a tasting that gives you more of a step by step education of what you're drinking, there wasn't a whole lot of that here. Both inside and outside are really pretty, so wherever you sit, you'll have a good time!

Artesa is one of our favorite wineries! The Spanish style wines are different and delicious and there's no better view in the area. Our guide, Maria, is a laong-time staff member who clearly knows the wines. You can find different varietals than other places in Sonoma or Napa, so it's a unique experience.

Spectacular architecture, very serene and charming.... the winery has such pleasant vibes the moment you put your foot there . Parking was ample , loved the elevated architecture with mature landscaping, vineyards were stunning , fountains and monuments were eye catching.... they have a very welcoming staff which attended us immediately and asked us our preference of sitting outside overlooking their vineyard or in their courtyard. We chose to sit outside and those 2 hours just flew by with those breathtaking views . Our server , Andrew was very smart , knowledgeable and funny , we loved him. Their

High quality wine in a well designed space, they allow children into the front tasting area but not into the lounge. Exterior and interior have triangle themed architecture that creates interesting windows and a jewel-like preciousness on approach. Wonderful modern design in an area filled with old-world looking chateaus.

Origins of the wine are from Spain's oldest winemaking family, Raventós Codorníu, chef friends went crazy commenting on social media when they saw my wine haul.

Graphic design of labels are also attractive and well done.

Staff is courteous and fast, we marked a sheet

We LOVED this winery and the superb service even in the midst of Covid and the fires. We visited on the weekend when the fires were the worst, hoping that earlier in the morning we would able to avoid the worst of the smoke.

Fortunately and unfortunately, we made it to Artesa just before the winds really picked up and were able to enjoy an outdoor spot right on the back balcony. However, about 30 minutes into our tasting, our server was told he was no longer able to keep coming out to us because the air quality was getting worse. He left us with all of our wines and left us alone until we were

We made wine tasting reservations at this winery for our anniversary October 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, we opted for their outdoor seating on the front lawn with a magnificent view of the rolling hills and vineyards. The weather was nice, sunny with a light breeze, there were 3, wine menus with 5 wines. We enjoyed our experience here and would visit again in the future.
