Have eagerly awaited for our family vacation for months and along comes Hurricane Sally.
I purchased travelers insurance as the website clearly says they do not refund for weather cancellation BUT travelers insurance would......so I paid additional for this insurance.
With much regret we made the decision to not take our grandchildren to the beach and risk putting them or any other family members in harms way knowing a hurricane was in the gulf.
Upon canceling I was informed insurance won’t cover my cancellation and I will not get any refund at all and cannot even put the $3500 paid toward

When it comes to customer service, the team at GSVR always puts the customer first. This team is professional, efficient, and extremely easy to work with – they offered us a full refund for a Spring 2020 cancelation due to COVID-19 even though we did not purchase trip insurance. Will always use GSVR for our vacation needs in the Gulf Shores area and I highly recommend this rental service to all. Hats off to all GSVR team members for going above and beyond. We cannot wait for our next stay!

Side note if you booked anything with AirBNB and tried to cancel reach out to the host before taking the AirBNB travel credit. Turns out AirBNB might not be acting in your or their hosts best interest.

Rude doesn’t even begin to describe Susan. I had booked When Pigs Fly for a weekend with my friends using a .Edu email address and was called making sure we were all over 25. We were so I was told the vacation would be confirmed and it was. I received word that the vacation was booked through VRBO. The next day Susan told me I needed to email every persons ID to prove age verification. I was hesitant to do so but did. After she received the ID’s proving the age she then emailed me saying there would be an additional $500 security deposit. This was after the vacation had been confirmed and I

Having never been to Gulf Shores, I was wary about renting a condo. We rented Lighthouse 1101. I’m beyond pleased to say that this condo met and exceeded all expectations we had. For a family of 5 (2 adults, 1 teen, 2 young children) it was the perfect fit. The keyless entry was fantastic. The condo was very large and allowed us the space we needed. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed for cooking. The couch was ultra comfy, as were all the beds. And the view! The view was amazing, even during the brunt of Tropical Storm Cristobal. The wrap around balcony was breathtaking. Easy access
