The good part is the crispy Brussel sprouts were amazing, lots of beer choices. My pastrami was the worst I've ever had. It was more fatty than bacon slices. There was very little meat to taste any flavor. My daughter's brisket was pulled, not sliced or chopped. She wasn't even sure it was beef thought it tasted like beef. The siracha carrots were also very good. I might go back to have veggies and try different meats but won't order these two again.

Food was decent. Fun atmosphere. But our server was a disaster. Nice, but a disaster. Took 20 minutes for her to acknowledge us. Didn't know which drinks were which. Brought us our food but we hadn't gotten utensils yet so we had to wait before we could even eat. Never checked back with us about anything, except to bring our check and ask if we needed boxes. Might go back if I can sit at the bar. Probably more efficient service there.

We had a party of four. Ok service. I'll give her some slack she was young and inexperienced so just needs to learn a little more. It wasn't busy so I would have liked her to ask if everything was ok after you deliver the food you come back in the next five minutes. Only because my burger was waaaayy over done. I asked for medium rare and I got a dry meatloaf. She came back once for drink order and I didn't have time to ask for a different burger because she brought the two drinks and turned and left. Then by the time she returned my group was almost done and I didn't want to

This place is the absolute best! Great food and an absolutely amazing selection of beer and liquor! The owner is one of the most genuine people you could ever meet. He really appreciates his staff and patrons, and fought the good fight to stay open during the pandemic, and I think his decisions are thriving because of it. Let’s Go Brandon!

Came in around 2:30 or so on a rainy afternoon, and was promptly seated. The place has a nice feel, tall ceilings with exposed wood rafters, and a large central bar that dominates the main room. My waiter took my drink and appetizer order. Drinks arrived promptly and the Jalapeno Poppers soon followed. The poppers were hot, spicy and tasty but cooked just ever so slightly too long and we're just a bit mushy. Still, they were delicious and went well with the Stella Artois. My pulled pork sliders came next and were very tasty. Good temperature, and good presentation on the plate. Overall I had a

Good selection of food and beer. We had the pretzel sticks with beer cheese. My wife thought the cheese was too spicy but I thought it was good. We also had the Buffalo chicken sliders and the Texas grilled cheese. They had many more items on their menu that looked good. Service was speedy and the restaurant was clean.

This was a fantastic choice for lunch today. We had never been here before but opted to try it since it is raining and Kankakee County allows indoor seating. Such an accidental find that will become part of our rotation of favorite spots. We had the Hofbrau Oktoberfest and Country Boy Peach Cider and liked them both. For lunch I had the pork schnitzel with mashed potatoes and gravy. I probably would have served it with either a vinegar based mixed green salad or some veggies to brighten the whole plate, but this was superb. Very well seasoned and soooo tasty!!! My hubby got the Prime Rib dip which

Went here this past week. Place was packed, never heard of social distancing! But the food was very good. Had the Irish Egg Roll appetizer with a nice tangy smoky sauce, where has this been all my life. We also had the Carolina Pork and Wow Chicken, both of which were very good also. A side of tater tots so big I could not finish. The atmosphere was a little load for my old ears, but the White Sox were on tv so I did ok.

I was visiting Bradley, IL and at first, I wanted to go to Jojo's BBQ. I had eaten there a few years ago and shocked at how good it was for Illnois. Sadly, they were closed on Sunday. So the next best option was the Hoppy Pig.
The Hoppy Pig is a bar/restaurant/pub. It seems like I smelled someone smoking in here a few times but never saw anyone smoking. It must have been something else. There are a lot of TVs and the restaurant is clean. There is parking on both sides of the building.
The menu is huge! But there is lots of diversity from burgers, BBQ, mac and cheese, and tacos.

Good sandwiches. Menu much to large to really know what you want to order. Took one home and it took 25 minutes to read. Should have short seats in front as the tall chairs are not suitable for people with back issues. The front of restaurant is real lite and the back with the regular chirs and tables it i dark.I prefer to sit in a light section. I don't drink so i can't comment on that area, I would go back.

My first experience with Hoppy Pig was amazing! I decided to order their Easter Catering package. I selected spring salad, prime rib, ham, roasted cauliflower and broccoli, mashed potatoes with gravy, mac n'cheese. Oh...I decided to add on brisket. Dessert was a delicious Apple Crisp.
My family enjoyed the meal thoroughly. Looking forward to more delicious food!!!

Stopped in Kankakee for the night and wanted a solid meal with adult beverages. This place is perfect. The draft list is two pages long on legal size. The menu is enormous but we had to get something smoked as I saw the smoker out back. I had the smoked Reuben and hubby had pastrami. Divine. Great fried pickles too. Our server was so friendly, funny and attentive. Highly recommend this place.

This place is head and shoulders above any other establishment in the area. I read some of the previous reviews about service and it looks like management did as well. The night we were here the staff were shorthanded and hustling to make it up. They were fast and friendly. And the kitchen kept up as well since they were packed.
It’s a big establishment with a solid tap menu featuring many regional craft beers (40?). They also make a hellluva cocktail and have a great whisk(e)y selection with excellent prices. The food is solid and is BBQ themed. Was too stuffed to eat one of their interesting

My friend and i came here for an late lunch and sat on the patio. We both ordered the special which was a spinach wrap with 3 smoked meats and a garlic aioli. We skipped the fries and had crispy brussel sprouts for our side. The brussel sprouts were fantastic! They were crispy and the reduced balsamic sauce was really great!
The wrap was okay. I asked for extra aioli because i found the smoked meat to be quite dry. The sauce was okay, but tasted like hellmann's with some garlic thrown in. I know mayonnaise and aioli are first cousins, but if you're going to serve mayonnaise with garlic

Dirty water glasses and this little racist gem (and I don't care if it is vintage beer advertising) is reason enough to cross this place off the list when we are down that way to hike the parks. The food was meh, seasoned fries lacked seasoning and my burger that was ordered medium came out grey and cooked through

I love the 5oz glasses of beer option here! They're cheap and a small amount of beer so it feels like I'm building my own flight one drink at a time. This way if I get a beer I don't "love", I can just gulp it down quickly and get something else. I also get to save money and not have to spend too much on beer.
The food here is a little on the pricier side, and I would describe it as New American. They have creative twists on foods, such as fried mac and cheese patties. I got this appetizer and had it with 2 tiny beers, and it was just the right amount of food and alcohol
