Outstanding meal. A wonderful, semi-fine-dining restaurant. High quality food and service but still with a down home atmosphere that fits it's setting. The bean salad and coleslaw as complimentary apps were delicious and delightful. I had sauteed Lake Perch that was very good. Another member of our party said the crab cakes were making a run as her favorite ever. Highly recommend.

We have been really excited to eat here for a few months. Sadly, the young man at the front that takes reservations and seats people, is very rude. We just waited patiently we’ll after our reservation time to be seated. The waitress was great. Very attentive and knowledgeable of the food. Appetizers were ok, nothing great but ok. Dinner was not worth it. Two adults, three kids was $170 with a couple beers and a martini. Not that bad for what we had ordered but the steaks were lackluster and small. We wouldn’t go back with the rude staff and the bland food.

Excellent Prime Rib ! We came on a Sat night and it was busy ....waitresses and staff busy as bees .....this is how a good restaurant should be run......make reservations, if you plan to dine on the weekend ! We'll be back !!!!! You made anniversary very special.....loved the Halloween decorations ! We will come again !!!!!!!

Came here here on a Saturday with my dad and I've heard good things about McVey's. I was told by a friend to get the sirloin steak,. It was prepared perfectly , but I can't give a real honest review on something that I wouldn't normally get, I would normally get ribeye or prime rib (they were out at 7:30 so go early); The sirloin cut just didn't have a super great taste. The coleslaw was really good. I would describe this as an older establishment with Good food at a good price.

Had the 24oz prime rib. Got the end cut (not ordered) not strip end but chuck end. As someone who sells meat for a living (40 years) was disappointed that it was not 24oz maybe 18oz and had all the seams (tendons) running through it. Service was great potato soup was really good. Garlic mashed potatoes were a treat. Over all a good experience.

I would definitely eat here again! The weekend prime rib special was a TON of food for a reasonable price. I enjoyed the kidney bean salad and cole slaw that came to the table ahead of the salad. Bread was fantastic and tasted freshly baked. The prime rib was delicious and so were the garlic mashed potatoes. The atmosphere was lively, servers were attentive, and diners were leaving there happy and full.

I'm just sorry there isn't 6 stars for this place. Before I tell you just how good this place is allow me to tell you about Kim. She is a world class server! She was so attentive, engaging, and informative that I will ask for her by name. The prime rib Kim recommended was awesome and my wife's filet very good. The garlic whipped potatoes are incredible and the cocktails are very well made. Go my now for this great value with awesome service. Thank you all at McVey's!

I'm just giving it 3 stars because we were waiting almost 2 hours for our food!! 2 hours!! The waitress was coming and coming to apologize saying that our food was gonna be ready soon and nothing! and she was blaming the kitchen for being so late, the only good thing is that we got free dessert, and she told us we would get 50% off on our food, and when she gave us the check it was only 20% off, I didn't wanna say anything about it, we got a reservation at 5 pm and we left the restaurant almost at 8 pm, I have to admit the food was really good, I had salmon and it was very tasty and delicious and
