Kendra began practicing yoga in 1999 as a way to relax from her job in the Navy. She facilitated classes onboard ships for many years and then received her formal training at Salt Spring Center of Yoga in 2009. She taught aboard research ships and on a trans-Africa bicycle trip before coming to Estes in 2015 and teaching in the studio.
Kendra's classes focus on alignment principles and integrate the mental, physical, and breathing aspects of yoga. Her continued training focuses on yoga as one method of healing wounded warriors, Yoga for First Responders, Calming Kids and as a technique to use in pregnancy and labor. When not practicing, Kendra is spending time in the mountains with her family.

What a great studio and a kind, friendly, meditative owner who taught our class. Happy to report that I just had a wonderful first experience with Yin style yoga! I've done vinyasa in the past but have always been frustrated by the rush to the next pose when something's feeling good, so this was a treat to get to hold poses for 3-5 minutes each.
This studio offers different styles of yoga though so if this isn't your thing, no worries.
If you're in town and need to get your yoga on after a day of hiking in the park, this is your spot. $15 for a drop in at a beautiful studio
