Services
Under the supervision of the Controller and the Dean of Students, the Accountant Assistant & Registrar is one position and is part-time. The Accountant & Registrar will be responsible for accounts receivables and account payables for the Debbie Allen Dance Academy as well as overseeing the registration and financial aspects of all Academy students.
After 4 summers at DADA, Maud received a B.A in Film Studies from Columbia co-founded Chloe & Maud Productions. A DADA student from the age of six, Kylie graduated from Boston Conservatory before joining Complexions Contemporary Ballet. Ryan started with DADA at the age of six. He hit the court in the LA Clippers Jr. Jam Squad and now stars in "Young Sheldon" on CBS.
The Debbie Allen Dance Academy is a registered 501(c)3 not-for-profit charitable organization that relies on the financial support of individuals, corporations, and foundations to achieve its mission to make dance a meaningful experience for all. No goods or services are provided for donations and all donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowable under the law.
DADA On Pointe was originally conceived in the Spring of 2004 as a in-house ballet workshop. The program later became established as a pre-professional intensive. Ms. Allen, along with founding director Mme. Adrienne Dellas, recognized the need to narrow the gap in the black and brown communities with pure classical ballet training.
The Academy provides a comprehensive curriculum for the committed student, ages eight and up. With an emphasis on Classical Ballet and Modern Dance, Academy students follow a schedule designed by Ms. Allen. Techniques studied also include African, Dunham, Flamenco, Hip Hop, Jazz and Tap Dance. Based on their skill level, students will be placed in Level 1, 2, or 3.
