Worst association in Hawaii and everyone knows it. Thumbs down

Thankfully we are buying a house soon and can get out of this dysfunctional dishonest lazy management company

Our neighbors have Hawaiiana and said they are pretty good not perfect but much better than associa

If u purchase a condo DO NOT go with associa you will be sorry I promise

The worst company I have ever worked with. My front door fell off in the appartment building, and I cannot install any other door, it has to match according to them, so I have no door at all. I called and emailed them to get specifications, after 3 days with no door at all they answer. Their answer has no specs only says I have to match others. They would respond every other day, so I still have no door at all. After a month, still no specs, just vendor info to company that doesn't exist, or doesn't respond. Still no door, but I have to match, still no specs, just same ol answer

Not responsive, no communication and the Board of directors only care about money. Terrible management company, does not have the residents best interest in mind. I am ashamed to have live in this community for so long. Penny and Nicole are a disappointment.

First off, my association was under Associa for about 1.5 years and if I ask that you consider what I am saying seriously. They are absolutely the worst property management company on the planet. I can document that their staff is totally unprepared. In the nearly 18 months under them we had 7, yes, count them, 7 CAMS. One of them only lasted 2 weeks. They will tell you one thing and then either forget about it, mishandle it, or just outright ignore you. There staff is ill trained if they are trained at all. Turnover is the only consistent item for them. They use a software called TownSq

Non responsive to homeowner maintenance request. No communications, difficult to speak to anyone. And if you do receive an email reply it's non response or just continues to lead the homeowners on... terrible customer service!

They never fix everything, get back to you, answer questions or call you, even when requested. emergency items are left up to a week before any response is taken. they say that the owners don't want to fix things and let it go. one of the worst companies i have dealt with recently!

One of the worst property management company I had ever see. Typical corporate culture, worst customer care, no call back if message left, no response on email, and if you catch the property manager on phone, they have ready answers not to have updates as system is down.. I reported the issue on Jan 22, 6 weeks are over no resolution. I would strongly recommended to stay away from this business and I am going to talk to my HOA members to switch over.

I have been trying to pay my yearly maintenance fee. We did not pay it on time. Found the letter behind the desk in our office and tried to pay when we realized that we forgot about it. First tried to pay online but said it was unavailable. Then I called and they said I had to call the legal department. They told me the total to pay and it had about $500 in fees. Absolutely trying to rip me off. Never got a call back from a manager about it just directed to the collection team. I don’t mind paying my bill but feel like a victim with the ridiculous fees they add on for being late.

I'm convinced after renting a condo from a homeowner that I will never wish to own one myself. Our landlord and on-site staff (superintendent, front desk, etc.) are helpful and as friendly as can be, but it seems that management itself holds themselves to be above residents and everyone else. Going through great lengths to make our lives as miserable as possible.

The condos itself are a connection between three buildings. We live in the third building however our assigned mailbox sits in the lobby of the second building. After purchasing a new key fob (out of pocket), the assistant property

This company will nickel and dime you for EVERYTHING! On top of that the manager of our community, Karla, is very rude. I have recordings of her making snide remarks about me during board meetings. She never responds to emails or returns calls and she closes EVERY request I create immediately!
She refused to call one of my neighbors back who couldn't login to TownSq to pay her dues so now that neighbor owes over $900 when our annual dues are only $480!! Even though in our bylaws they cannot charge us interest or late fees over 17%!

I have been a resident at Monument Square in Richmond, VA for 3 years and have been extremely pleased with the service Associa (specifically Mary Singer) has provided. Mary has been an asset to Monument Square with her problem solving, attention to detail, eagerness to keep MS in tip top shape, and her ability to keep things running efficiently at MS. Mary does a wonderful job of working with the vendors to keep costs down and at the same time getting quality work. Kudos to Mary Singer for helping to make MS a great place to live!

Have been going for months trying to get an approval letter to add a patio to our home. We had to send 7 emails before Shay Bell even responded. And on top of that, never answered our question. We were trying to see where the application we had submitted ended up and were only asked to resubmit and stop emailing. Claims to be overwhelmed and overworked are all we get.

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up if you plan on selling your house in a neighborhood with this management company. Associa management company charges $300 for a statement of account! Our title company, Stewart Title, said that they are the ONLY HOA company that charges this much. The standard fee is $100. I investigated further today to find out why $300? Apparently our HOA company tacks on a $150 inspection fee??? The title company doesn't need it, but the HOA company does? Why, for what?! Who knows? They gave me the round about on the phone. Associa.us is the worst HOA Management service. David Talavera, HOA manager at Associa.us (Las Gatos, CA) is definitely the HOA manager our association ever had. Obviously, after reading other reviews on Yelp about Associa, David's performance is in line with other Associa sites.

Please DO NOT retain Associa.us for HOA services at your community.

Their tactics in Houston, Texas, are unscrupulous, and they do not deserve even one star. During the COVID 19 pandemic, they are busy writing up homeowners for trivial things like having Christmas lights (which are a worldwide symbol of hope for this virus) and having a few items in the driveway. However, they have done NOTHING to protect the public in their parks as required by the City. In a heartbeat, they will turn you over to a lawyer and your account is billed for trumped-up legal fees without your knowledge, not to mention the threatening letters. If there was half a star I would give it...

Beyond frustrating dealing with this management company. My car has been burglarized four times in four years in the same spot and there is no relief insight. Complained to the association dozens of times, attended board meetings, tried everything but no relief. Leadership is sorely lacking and the lack of urgency to the current state of security at 400 keawe is alarming. More crime expected as the state adjunct warned in the news, yet nobody at associa seems to get it. I guess they are waiting for a home invasion or a child to get kidnapped before reality

Save yourself the trouble. Over six years, we cycled through managers who would eventually get burnt out by the company and leave. Great staff are hired, then within weeks they are overloaded and seemingly measured by efficiency and not relationships, thus ironically they end up failing miserably at both, wasting everyone's time in the process while issues still remain outstanding.

Our Home Owners association (HOA) hired them to manage Tall Grass in Naperville in January 2019. It has been a disaster to use them. The manager onsite is Claire. I am not sure about her last name. She is never in the office. We went to her office few times but she was not there. We called several times over a period of a week but no one returned our calls. It is either they have an incompetent employee or it is their culture to promise HOAs and never deliver. It is just another way to decrease their expenses and make more money.

Associa is the worse management company anywhere.
They seldom answer their phone. It takes on the average four days to get through to them.
When you get a recording telling you they will contact you asap forget it.
They never ever return calls.
They don't maintain the properties. They refuse to do anything.
They just make stupid excuses.
The managers are rude, arrogant, obnoxious and ignorant.
I had one that tried to convince me that a slab floor was not a foundation.
It's like trying to have a conversation with a brick wall.

I live in South Knolls in Jackson, NJ. We have a Community Manager and Assistant that do not respond to emails or voice mails. In addition, they make decisions that are not theirs to make. I just finished a week long "war" over my daughters gate sticker. She was arbitrarily deactivated as the office apparently lost some of her paperwork 18 months later. This became our problem. The Assistant wanted her to take time off of work to come into the office. She is a school teacher, not an option. They don't understand that they work for us not vice versa.

Associa has managed our Condo community for years. With long relationships, things can gp wrong. I've been on the Board of Directors for two years this time and serveral years when I first moved to the community. Overall, the service we get is very satisfactory.

One of our residents LK makes a point of trashing not only the service we get from our property management but also the vendors we use. She's not even dealing with most of these companies directly as a resident. So take her criticism with a grain of salt.

Even when they are 100% wrong they are nasty and rude. After a threatening letter about wainscoting "our barn" , I told them we didn't have a red barn on our property ....anywhere! Wrong address!! I then get a letter that they will charge me photography fees to "prove" I haven't wainscoted my barn...but I DONT HAVE A BARN ....IT IS THE WRONG ADDRESS!!! Then I find someone on my property and chase them off but they tell me they can walk my property because they have the right because they work for Associa. Then I get a letter that my grass is too tall... we don't have any grass because we are building

This company took over recently- I have NEVER had so many letters EVER. Just a way to make $$$ off of petty things. We already have 4 letters- 1 electronic certified for dirty driveway & cracks in driveway. DRIVEWAY! And to fix them for liability issues. WHO IS ON MY DRIVEWAY BUT ME? The burglars? Oh well we can't have them tripping now can we? THEY shouldn't even get 1 star. I wish there was a poo emoji instead.

All the reviews of Associa Houston are under the Houston Community Management Services link, including mine, and they are NOT good.
Beware of their recommendations for service contracts. At the mention of owners' dissatisfaction with Suncoast plumbing, and the suggestion of other names, the manager got a nervous look about her and quickly started pushing another company that she'd worked with. I have questioned this before, and never received a clear answer, but I am convinced that there is some (hidden?) vested interest for HCMS.
Accounting services are poor, so have proof that you paid on time
