Our premier location and foundation of core family values, has allowed us to produce quality wine for over 100 years. Since 1896, our sustainably-farmed vineyards have produced ripe, expressive fruit, enabling our award-winning wines to speak for themselves vintage after vintage.

Our winemaker, Nova Perrill, joined Foppiano Vineyards in the beginning of 2015 and embodies the essence of what Foppiano represents: a commitment to quality in the cellar and vineyard. He brings with him not only the knowledge and experience gained from over 10 years of winemaking in Sonoma County, but also a strong desire to continue to enrich and expand the legacy of Foppiano Vineyards.
The story of Foppiano Vineyards is a family epic full of tradition, perseverance and contributions to the history of Sonoma County and the wine industry. Founded in 1896 by Giovanni Foppiano, Foppiano Vineyards is one of Sonoma County's oldest continually-operated, family-owned wineries. Our family has supplied northern California with wine for over a century, surviving Prohibition in the 1920s by selling home winemaking kits.
We're proud of our Italian heritage and our deep, 125+ year roots in the Russian River Valley. Please join us on a trip down Foppiano's Memory Lane to learn about our family history and winery. Giovanni Foppiano arrived in New York from Genoa, Italy in 1855 and traveled to California - by way of Panama - looking for the gold in them there hills.
As the family's favorite wine, Petite Sirah has also become Foppiano's flagship offering, known nationwide as one of the country's top Petite Sirahs each vintage. Over the years, our Petite Sirah has gained praise from the wine press and from consumers for its high quality. For many years, the Petite Sirah grape was used for blending with California's "Burgundy style" wines.

Doug was super friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. the fresh figs were a delicious way to start of our experience along with a complimentary pinot. The tasting experience following was the most enjoyable out of any tasting experience ive had so far. Thank you Doug for your hospitality

Excellent visit! I had to come here as my wife is a fan of Petit Sirah. This place has a lot of history and a very casual and welcoming atmosphere. Pam was an excellent host and offered us a lot to taste. The estate wines are good but the reserve/single block wines are the stars of the show. We really enjoyed the Gianna's block Petit Sirah, Della's block Chardonnay, and also the carignan. Overall great experience and we walked out with several bottles.

Absolutely loved this place! My fiancé and I were only planning on staying 1 hour, but we stayed well over 3 hours. Pam was our hostess and she was fantastic. Knew her stuff about wine and also went above and beyond with our tastings. We honestly got over double what we were expecting with the tastings. I didn't try a wine there that I didn't like, and we walked out of there with 3 bottles (would've done more, budget allowing). The view is beautiful over the vineyards, and the atmosphere is calming and perfect. Would go back there in a heartbeat.

We had a great time with outdoor wine tasting on a wonderful Saturday afternoon. We love the way Foppiano continues to make great estate wines in a beautiful setting and treats customers with respect. Our host Augusto was one of the best "wine servers" we have ever had. He brought us fresh figs grown on the property at the start of our session to enjoy with a nice array of wines included during our tasting. Augusto was very knowledgable about the wines served and seemed to understand what our family was most interested in. So much fun! We will be back!!

Sometimes the Smokey air brings out rare seasonal varietals that only exist because of the extreme conditions. I wonder if this will be the case this year for many of the Sonoma and Napa County wineries that are nearing their harvest towards the latter part of the wine growing / making cycle. Only time will tell. Good wine from this place too, either way. Highly recommend. Cheers 🥂

We just devoured a 750 of Foppiano Estate Petite Sirah vintage 2002 and it was sensational: very, very dark; deep nose; complex, rich, rustic, mature flavors that I love of leather, spice, and black fruits; satisfying mouthfeel with some tannic grip still; even some sediment at the end (which I also love). We opened the bottle about an hour before dinner but did not decant or pour any into a glass. At dinner it took 15 or 20 minutes to open up in the glass.
In June we opened a magnum of 2006 Foppiano Estate Petite Sirah and it was also rich and satisfying. Last year in June 2019 we opened a 3

Love this Family Winery. They hire well and have some fun entertaining people in the tasting room that's set apart from the winery, keenly appointed with dark wood stain, an area to sit down with your posse (yes that's what it's called in the 2020's!). With plenty of windows and a gorgy view of the vineyards.
I purchased 3 wines - untasted because of said rules within our Authoritarian Government driven by Steve S. Feels like Anarchy but he says it will level out once the Covids are gone.
The entree level red Lot 96 2017 is an absolute Steal - call and pick some up! $15

I cannot say enough about this excellent winery their varietals are exquisite and what they've done with the port and their late harvest dessert wine well they turned it into Nectar. Sitting amongst the vines tasting the wine with friends is a most excellent experience only to be outdone by their summer celebration and holiday party club membership is a must

Foppiano has a special place in heart because it was one of the first wineries I tasted at when I just turned 21 and went wine tasting with my parents. The weekend that we came was actually during Winter Wineland and even though we weren't part of the event Jonathan let us taste.
Although Foppiano is known for their Petite Sirah it wasn't my personal favorite. I love their Chardonnay (both the estate and the Della's Block) and I liked their Carignane. The Carignane went perfectly with my Thanksgiving feast I had with my family.
When I attended Sonoma State I came here every week
