Good dental hygiene is essential for both your oral health and a healthy appearance. While your own regular tooth brushing removes most food particles from your teeth, over time, plaque and even tartar can build up, especially in difficult to brush locations. Dental prophylaxis is the specialized teeth cleaning treatment designed to remove the plaque and tartar that build up on your teeth.
If a tooth becomes permanently damaged by decay or trauma, a filling will be required to restore the function of the tooth. Unfortunately, the most common damage is tooth decay, caused by acids produced by bacteria that are always present in the mouth. Given enough time, these acids will dissolve the enamel layer that protects your tooth, causing a cavity.
A crown is an artificial tooth, made of ceramic or gold, that covers a damaged tooth. Crowns are used to cover a tooth that has had a root canal or a fracture, or to restore a tooth that would require too large a filling. When ceramic is used, the color of the crown can be matched to the color of your natural teeth.
A denture is a removable dental appliance that replaces missing teeth. Similar to dentures, partial dentures are made to fill in the spaces when some natural teeth remain. Benefits to wearing dentures include improving your ability to chew, your appearance, and even your speech. A full set of teeth are needed to fully chew food, and being able to do so can improve digestion and certainly the enjoyment of food.

I have seen all the bad reviews and the good reviews. It seems you either love Dr. Snelson and her staff or you hate her. She has thoroughly impressed me. She tries to accommodate every patient and doesn’t turn you away based on insurance or issues. Believe me, I’ve had plenty of bad dentists before that gave me a nightmare of an extensive oral surgery and charged thousands of dollars only to end up with worse problems! Dr. Snelson worked patiently with me to fix them on a budget. She does have a long list of patients because she doesn’t turn anyone away. And yes, this is an honest review

I have been avoiding dentists for years because I have had such terrible experiences with them my whole life. This was the first time I’ve ever felt comfortable at a dentists office. The dental hygienist was super helpful and nice and was very empathetic to my anxiety. She explained everything she was going to do before she did it. Dr Snelson is awesome and I was put at ease with what I need to get done. Finally, well into my adulthood, I’ll be keeping up with regular dental appointments. I would definitely refer anyone to Dr Snelson’s practice

Was lied to from the start and she pulled 7 teeth and sent me home with no meds what so ever ever. Was told that my insurance was excepted for the extractions, dentures and plates. I should have known something was up when ever time I ask about dentures she would put me off and give me an excuse as to why not. Well, after they finally pulled my last tooth, I'm told my insurance isn't excepted for the dentures. Most unprofessional place, dental assistant had an attitude as soon as I sit down. Don't do it, go elsewhere.
Why does the website say they do dentures when they send you elsewhere?

I would trust Dr. Snelson with my life. She has been my dentist for years and now she's my young son's dentist. We love her and highly recommend her. As for her assistant, that's another story, but she does her job and she does it well so she can have whatever attitude she wants as long as she help Dr. Snelson do her job.

I had been there for years and even my children went to her and she WAS great back then. NOW I’m not really sure what has happened to her and her front receptions worker AMANDA well there are no words for her. I had 2 surface cavities filled and one of the fillings have came out twice now. The first time I called to get in and wonderful MS AMANDA scheduled me an appointment alright but I wasn’t near a calendar and she scheduled me for a Sunday. So it prolonged me getting the tooth worked on. Ok after 3 months went by I had went in for a cleaning and was informed by Dr Snelson that it was a

She is so unprofessional I had a root canal done she never finished ( even after being paid for) then began another root canal and never finished the second one, then began to tell me that’s how they look...so here I am months later it’s causes other teeth to break and those “root canals” she did fell out eating a fudge round. UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE and the state should revoke her license or better yet close this place down before someone gets seriously hurt.

Worst “dentist” I’ve ever been to. I had a broke off tooth she was going to pull and I went today and she pulled the wrong tooth. I did sign something but saw one of them go and add another tooth to that paper after it had already been signed and they realized they messed up. But the worst part about it all is that she blamed me for not stopping her soon enough. My mouth was numb I didn’t feel it until it was too late. Second of all, she’s the dentist not me. If y’all ever go to her, which I advise not to, you might want to check and make sure she is working on the right tooth. Also
