Guthrie Dentistry is a general practice in Bristol, TN made up of a three generation family team. Dr. Fred Guthrie Sr, Dr. Rick Guthrie Jr, and Dr. Van Guthrie III have almost 100 years of dental experience between the three of them. Guthrie Dentistry provides general, cosmetic, and family dentistry with procedures including cleanings, fillings, crowns, veneers, teeth whitening, root canals, extractions, and other dental services.

Procedures Report

Professional dental cleanings (dental prophylaxis) are performed by Registered Dental Hygienists. Your cleaning appointment will include a dental exam. Periodontal treatments depend on the type of the gum disease and how severe it is. If the disease is caught early (when it is gingivitis), and no damage has been done to the supporting structures under the teeth, you may simply need a professional cleaning.

I've been a patient here for years & I have nothing but great things to say about this office as well as the staff. Every time I come in for an office visit everyone is extremely friendly & I always receive top notch care whether it's just a cleaning or having a dental procedure done.

I would recommend this place to anyone, I have to say that after my experiences with other dental offices in this area & in other states that Guthrie Dentistry is the best in my opinion.Dr. Rick Guthrie Jr. is one of the top dentists in the Tri-cities. I have been a patient of this practice for 31 years.

Everyone is thoughtful and friendly, helpful and thorough with my dental care. I feel like an important client and am treated as such. This is very much appreciated since a visit to the dentist isn't among my favorite things to do!

I had an appt to get a tooth checked and expected only a diagnosis and another appt to be scheduled to actually fix the issue but they did both today!! They were very efficient and extremely nice! I would recommend them to everyone!!

You will not find a dentist with more state of the art equipment or better chair side manners than Guthrie Dentistry (a family business). They make their own crowns, so they were able to put my crown in the same day they prepped my tooth. No temporaries! No waiting! Let that sink in...

I moved to the Tri Cities area a few months ago and I dreaded finding another dentist because I loved mine so much. However, Guthrie dentistry really impressed me! They got me in for my first visit super last minute because I was going on vacation and the office was very clean and nice. All the staff members were friendly as well as the dentist who made me feel really comfortable. I would give this place a 10/10. Also, Stevie up front was especially helpful. I would definitely recommend giving them a try if you’re looking for a new dentist in the Bristol area.

I have been to a lot of dental offices before but this is by far the best I have ever been to. They have updated equipment and the Guthrie‘s are the best dentists ever. Their new office is state of the art. I would recommend it to anyone and I would never go anywhere else.

Doctor Rick and staff are amazing. I had let my dental health slide for many years. Doctor Rick and everyone who works with him take a personal interest in each patient. He made a game plan and explained each step in the process at length. I highly recommend them.
