I had a manicure done here in October. I'm giving 3 stars because of how the cuticles were handled. The manicurist kept cutting the folds, skin. With each cut she was pulling instead of clipping. One of my fingers bleed, and she had to redo that one. Several fingers were red and sore later on. Days later, I had skin tearing around each nail. The place is clean, and the polish did last a good 10-11 days before they began to chip. I only wish the cuticles were handled properly.

This was the absolute worst nail salon I have ever been to in my life. To start off, if you are going to charge over $100 on a basic gel manicure and regular polish pedicure it should be perfect. The gel looked like it was grown out and not close to the cuticles. I went back the following day to change my toe color and fix the gel and whoever was doing my nails was the nastiest person. So rude and unprofessional. She then started to paint my toes and they looked like my 4 year old cousin did them. I pointed it out and she was so cold and you could tell she was mad. What a gem of a place! I just can’t say enough great things about this place. It has a luxe vibe, they are very professional and the quality of the service was excellent. I fingers are quite sensitive and Tina Tian was very skilled and provided incredible service.

This is the nicest nail salon I have been to in NYC. Their pedicure chairs are chic and cozy, not those awkward massage chairs I hate and the manicure stations are high tops that allow you to dry your hands and toes at the same time! It is very clean and the prices are fair for such a nice experience. Alex gives an amazing massage too!

I had a very good, thorough manicure. I felt good with the level of cleanliness and sterilization of the instruments. I do not know the name of the woman who gave the manicure to me but she was excellent. And I pampered myself with a neck and back massage while getting the manicure - Alex was terrific. He got all the sore spots in my back! Highly recommend

I came here because of 5 star reviews. Basic pedicure is 30$, I soaked my feet at 2:22 and I was drying my nails at 2:38!!! She just breafly touched my feet with scrub file, breafly massage my calfs only, and just cut nails, and cuticle and paintedthe. Thats all.. When I set at the table to dry my nails, I did not get even shoulder and neck massage that is free and accustom in evry salon in NYC. The place is very clean, and follows strict covid protocol, but the pedicure I got is way below mediocre!.

I was already very conscious of cleanliness practices in salons before Covid-19, and this is the only salon I've been to since salons started to reopen. It is, hands down, the cleanest and most beautiful salon I have ever been to. Even the bathroom was spotless. I got a manicure and they did such a wonderful job, and though the price is a little higher than other salons, it was worth it for the steps they've put in place to keep everyone safe.

I have been going to Symbelle since their grand opening last summer and would rate this salon a 10 star. The owner is amazing, customer satisfaction is her main concern. The entire staff is cheerful and professional. The place is very clean and chic. I travel from Roosevelt Island to get pampered at Symbelle. I highly recommend this salon.

Fabulous from the moment I walked in. Started with a massage from frank. Very strong and Very thorough. Loved the attention to detail of the salon. The pedicure chairs were a beautiful and comfortable barrel chair. The manicure station had a drying spot for your feet while you got your manicure. It's sheer brilliance. They also offer a wide variety of colors no extra charge for Zoya or long lasting Essi. I was offered coffee, tea and snacks just to make sure I was comfortable. Siska did a wonderful job! I live in the 90s on the east side and this is very worth the trip "downtown"

Came here a couple weeks ago for a great gel manicure. Colour choice was huge and my nails were done with lots of attention to detail. A short massage too which was great. The woman who did mine was lovely and we chatted throughout. Will be going back when my nails grow out and might try out some other treatments.

This is my go-to spot for a gel pedicure. I've been going since their grand opening in the summer. The prices are a little higher, but the pedicure lasts for 6 weeks and is done PERFECTLY! I've gotten a regular manicure and was really happy too. Amazing color selection - they have every OPI gel you can think of and a few Essie gel too. If you don't want gel, they have Essie, OPI, Butter London and Zoya.
The ladies here are so nice and do a perfect job. Also, they really invested in the design and decor, and it does make the salon so much more inviting! Definitely try Symbelle-

Wanted to love this place since I walk past it daily for the last few months. I read the great reviews and in anticipation for a weekend away, I desperately needed a mani/pedi. I messaged the establishment asking if best to make an appointment and they said to just walk in. I walked in at 4:45 and the place was pretty busy. I sat down to get a pedi then 5 mins later was directed to move to the mani station. I was flexible and said sure. I then received the most mediocre if not worst mani. I booked a 60 minute massage through Groupon - and this was the most bizarre massage I've ever had. My male masseuse was clearly not trained or certified - it felt like an hour long back rub. He had no idea what he was doing or had any knowledge of anatomy. It was also over two blankets, so it was incredibly warm. Exceptional service & salon. For starters this salon is very clean and beautiful. Every tool they use is either new or effectively sanitized. The staff is thoughtful and considerate and go out of their way to offer great service. Highly recommend this place. Regular mani and pedi lasts especially when you use the Zoya colors.

My 4 year old daughter and I love coming here together for mommy-daughter manicures and pedicures. :-) The owner Mindy is incredibly kind, patient and accommodating and this store is a cut above the rest in terms of cleanliness, service and quality of the mani/pedi. Came here after an impromptu Groupon purchase. I didn't have an appointment and it was Saturday but they took me :) The place is beautiful and big, very clean. The customer service here is friendlier this most. The manager is especially sweet. I needed juice for my phone and they gladly supplied me with a charger while I got a pedicure. The pedicure chairs are real chairs which is a nice change-most places don't do this. They don't give a massage and the wait was a bit long (which makes sense but they told me 5 mins), otherwise this was a 5 star experience and I'll be coming

The formidable nail artist, Christina, was recruited here from her long time residence as the star attraction at another upper east side spot, and she has the prime seat at Symbelle. I would follow her anywhere, but this is heaven.
You are in a real beauty spa at Symbelle, not a nail factory. The atmosphere is clean, serene, and oriented to treating the guests with respect. The prices I found to be very reasonable and competitive.

I came in as a one off.. walking from a shopping trip at Bloomingdales. I got a manicure and pedicure. It's brand new establishment and the staff are so nice.. I am a total germaphobe so this will be my solid go to for now on!! They use a fresh nail file, nail blocks and sandals!! They even have personal plastic liners that to line your sink. They never reuse them either. I am not kidding that's part of their service .. you don't even have to ask them. They open a fresh pair of sandals and package of files in front of you and they dispose of them when you are done. I can confirm

Very sweet and accommodating staff and beautiful, clean location. I went for a gel manicure and they did an amazing job. I asked about a matte finish and two staff members looked for one. When they realized they didn’t have one specifically for gel, they said they would order it and I could come back in a couple of days and have the matte finish put on for free, which I thought was very generous. I also got a 10-minute in chair massage, which was amazing and so relaxing.
