Step 1: Sign Up for a No Sweat Intro to meet with a coach 1:1 to talk about your goals and how to get there. This is our 1-1 program to build proper mechanics, familiarity with our program, and build on past successes. After graduating from college we bought a house in the Salisbury, MD area which had a two car garage.

In 2010 we started doing CrossFit out of said garage with Berek's brothers and our friends. Equity Fitness opened on Labor day of 2012 in a small warehouse with the bare essentials and concert floors. In 2014 we moved to a new space which is 5 times the size of our original space. Since moving we have continued to grow and improve everyday.

After first starting CrossFit in our garage, and then slowly joining a gym, the progress I was able to see with learning new movements and slowly getting stronger gave me the motivation to continue learning and grasping for more. I have been doing CrossFit for over 5 years now, and I can still see changes and growth.
A No-Sweat Intro is just that: no sweat! It's a 15-minute conversation with one of our caring coaches to discuss your goals and how we can help you achieve them. When I first started at Equity, I still had a slight limp when I walked and walking up stairs was still something I had to think about (after 2 hip replacements).
Q: Do I need to be in good shape before I start CrossFit? A: NO WAY! We are here to get you in good shape. The coaches are there to help you reach your fullest potential and make you as fit as possible. Everybody starts at different levels in their athletic and fitness journey. All workouts are designed with modifications in mind for all fitness levels.
Personal Training lets individuals get specific and focus their training. Working 1-on-1 with one of our trainers is the fast track for your health and fitness program. Achieve the results you want with personalized workouts, advice, and support. Schedule a 20 minute 'No Sweat Intro' to talk about your goals, take a tour of the gym, and address all your questions.
Nutrition is fundamental to a healthy lifestyle. If you are trying to loss a few pounds, look better in that swimsuit, fit in a wedding dress, build strength, or get off blood pressure medicine nutrition will be a huge part of the process. No matter where you are starting in your journey there is a way to get where you want to go and we want to help you get there.

Equity Fitness has the most welcoming and encouraging members! I always leave in a better mood than when I got there. The coaches are great at modifying workouts to fit your skill level/medical needs.

Equity Fitness is so much more than just working out. This is where you train, where you drip sweat, where you grunt, growl, and push the proposed limits and then you do all over again the next day! The coaching staff is amazing! Always pushing you to perform at your best in a safe manner. Coach Cole never let's me get a away with improper form and I love it!

Our entire family has found a home at Equity Fitness. The workouts are challenging and different everyday, no matter what your fitness level may be. The coaches are very knowledge, encouraging and patient. I love that we are coached throughout the workout and not just left to our own devices. The people are AMAZING and create such a fun environment. The Yates’ love Equity!!

It's not an exaggeration to say that this place has changed my life. After being very involved in sports through high school and college, I had tried distance running and going to a typical weights/machines gym to get my exercise as an adult, but I really didn't enjoy either one. It was hard to motivate myself, and it seemed more like a chore than anything.
Equity is a completely different experience, combining the best of CrossFit methodology with an incredible coaching staff and an amazing group of members. Going to the gym is the highlight of every day, and it's been the perfect environment

Great group of people at Equity Fitness. Everyone is very welcoming and genuine. My Girlfriend was apprehensive to trying Crossfit but, her experience has been very positive and the coaches are very focused and help her every step of the way. Everyone works hard and the motivation level is high in this gym. If you've crossfitted before or are looking to start I highly recommend Equity Fitness.

I joined Equity on a whim after a friend talked me into checking it out. I had been doing workouts at home, but was looking for a community where I fit in around town. Right from the start people were friendly, positive, and super encouraging. The owner, Berek, was the coach that day and he helped me along through every step. I was very impressed that he was able to watch a group of people and be attentive to everyone to make sure they were safe and comfortable. I have struggled my entire adult life with commitment to my health and finally said something needed to change. I joined Equity right after having my son, so about 7 weeks postpartum and could not be happier with the gym, coaches and peers. Everyday Coach Berek says, "let's get better today " and that is exactly what happens. In the almost 4 months going I have gained so much; confidence, muscle, relationships, energy and better habits! As someone who never really put emphasis on my own fitness/personal well being through my 20's, discovering Equity in my 30's was really a thing I needed. While Equity is a gym first and foremost I found a lot of emphasis placed on things that were not fitness at all. Things like integrity, grit, perseverance, hard work, and mindset. In the end I think exercise and fitness are the vehicle Equity uses to try to improve the total person.
With that in mind, I have seen the gym evolve in the 2 years I have been a member. I really respect that about a place that is trying to help so many people on
