Services
Skillful teachers offer precise instruction, demonstrations, adjustments, and skillful use of props to ensure safe and systematic progression of students. Students get individual feedback to improve in their practice and address any issues they might have. Alignment is a tool used to spread intelligence throughout the body, a way to focus and train the mind.
Feldenkrais Method is a mind-body approach which combines movement, touch and directed attention to help you move and live more comfortably and effectively. Lessons help you to become aware of habitual neuromuscular patterns so that you can learn to move in new ways, increasing range of motion and improving flexibility and coordination.
Gatherings are on the 1st and 3rd Thursday evening of each month from 7:15pm-8:45pm. Everyone is warmly welcome, including both experienced meditators and those new to meditation. We begin at 7:15 PM with forty minutes of sitting meditation practice. Afterward, we read aloud from the work of a Dharma teacher or another relevant resource for approximately 10 to 20 minutes.
You can start yoga anytime by dropping into a beginner class. Our studio is welcoming and down to earth. Our goal is to make you feel comfortable so that our classes are accessible to all. If you are interested in yoga we strongly recommend signing up for a four week intro series so that you learn the basics of Iyengar Yoga.

I have been a student of Naama's for at least 5 years. I am not young and have the usual arthritis and stiffness issues of the older student. Naama is a wonderful teacher. She pays attention to each student's needs and always gives alternatives. There is no shame in simply not doing a pose or exercise. I know that my sciatica has been kept to a minimum because of her classes. While I sometimes have to convince myself to go to class, I always walk out feeling so much better, grateful that I had come.

Naama Gidron is a very talented and knowledgeable Yoga teacher. I practiced yoga for a number of years before trying her classes, and with Naama, I learned so much more about the poses. Also, she always gives modifications for the poses to suit individual needs. I highly recommend the Motion Center Yoga Collective. And, her new studio is beautiful!

I began attending classes with Naama bout 18 months ago and slowly began regaining flexibility and alignment that I badly needed after more than 30 years at a demanding desk job that limited my mobility and taxed my posture. I feel like a new person and I am inspired by others in the classes who have been studying with Naama for much longer. I would highly recommend her classes.

I love Motion Center Yoga. I have tried lots of Yoga classes over the years, and this is the best. Naama is a wonderful teacher, responsive, active, thoughtful and caring. She individualizes instruction according to your needs. My alignment and strength and flexibility and confidence have improved so much and I am in my sixties! Who knew I could feel this empowered in my sixties? But that's what this Yoga class does for me. I feel more in touch with my own body and less judging of it. I feel calmer and more centered. Thank you!

After spending many years doing yoga as a young person, I tried getting back into practice with these people by attending gentle yoga classes. I had explained that my arthritis prevented me from doing certain poses and was assured that they could work with me. That didn't happen so I left the class after about 5 uninspired sessions. I contacted two other yoga instructors from this group, explained my situation, and neither of them paid me the courtesy of a reply.
