Bamboo is also truly sustainable and eco-friendly. We have two spacious changing rooms, two bathrooms, and an inviting reception area with plenty of benches, cubbies, and hooks to stash your belongings.

Props are available for sale in our shop. Or you can improvise with a belt, books, canned goods, a beach towel, a throw pillow, etc. GENTLE YOGA + GUIDED MEDITATION Geared specifically for those new to yoga or those who are interested in a gentle practice. The first half of class includes slow paced movements to warm up the body.
Open to ALL LEVELS - from first time beginner to experienced yogi. These one hour classes will include a series of poses and breathing techniques to increase physical flexibility, strength, balance and stamina while helping to calm and relax the mind in a flowing, challenging, and moving meditation that is accessible to just about everyone.
The lobby at The Woods has been transformed into the 'WISE OLD BIRD MARKETPLACE'! We have a quirky curation of mostly USA made, specialty items not found at large retailers. Many RI made products! And plenty of gifts $20 and under. Not everything is yoga related, it is a true gift shop! Please visit, poke around, and shop small!
Whether you're new to yoga, or just new to The Woods Yoga studio, below is a list of helpful tips to make your experience more enjoyable! If you're new to The Woods Yoga, arrive for class 15 - 20 minutes early. This will give you plenty of time to sign into the studio, get our five cent tour and set yourself up in the yoga room.
New customers who have never been to the studio before OR those who have not been in the past 90 days. We require a credit card on file to cover any incidental purchases and/or late cancellation/no show fees you may incur. If your GROUPON voucher expires, you may still redeem it and apply the amount you paid for it toward a future purchase.

I found a home at The Woods Yoga! I was interested in yoga (obviously) but they also offer a Kettlebell Cardio class 3 days/week. I really wanted to work on strength training- now I get yoga and boot camp all with one membership. After only 1 month, I can SEE a difference and I FEEL great. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend The Woods Yoga!!❤️

My first impression of the studio (a few years ago now I think?) was that it's inclusive and not "cliquey" like some other studios I've been to. That authentic community aspect is everything! Not only are the regulars and teachers there super welcoming, but the owners -- Christine and Anthony -- actually remember your name.
I love how each teacher at The Woods brings a different feel to each class. It feels more personable and like a new experience every time (without losing the core focus of what the class is all about). Some of them offer in-class assists, china gel, chanting

I first tried the Woods with the 30 days for 30 bucks opportunity. I mean, amazing deal right?! I immediately felt welcome and comfortable. I signed up for an unlimited membership as soon as my first month was over. I love the variety of classes and flexible times! There's always a great class to choose from. I highly recommend the Woods! 💖

It was my first experience at woods yoga class. I had taken a couple of yoga classes before but never truly believed in the power of yoga. After taking just one class my whole perspective has changed. It was absolutely amazing! The entire experience from walking in to walking out. I will definitely be returning! Highly recommend!!

Introduced by a close friend who scheduled an individual class for a small group of us, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. A day later, I still feel relaxed and stretched out, feeling all the muscle groups we worked on. Have to admit, it was more intense than I expected yoga to be, sweating buckets (not even a 'hot' class!) but the instructor offered options for more challenging poses. Will definitely be back again!

Love The Woods! Lovely little yoga studio; really nice and patient teachers, very clean and I really love the decor... there's always something interesting to look at. (Owls! ). Also, they have a noon class during the week which fits well into my schedule. They often run specials which makes it affordable for me. I'm so glad it's close to my home!

I've been to a few different studios in Rhode Island and by far The Woods is my favorite. There is just a really cool vibe to the place. The teachers all have the right balance of instruction and letting you do your own thing - they're welcoming of all different kinds of folk and all different skills levels. The thing I like best? The music isn't stuck on "yoga studio regular" but can range from hip hop and jazz to hard rock, pop, and classics. I absolutely love this gem of a yoga studio. I’ve been going to as many classes as humanly possible over the past month. The teachers are excellent, the variety of classes are amazing, people are very friendly, and the atmosphere is very calming. From Wednesday night’s Relax and Restore (Babs is a rock star!) to Strengthen & Lengthen (Meg is fabulous), there is something for everyone, even a new yogi like me!

I don't even have the words to express how much love I have for the studio. This one room yoga studio has so much to offer with a variety of heated/non-heated classes and well qualified yoga instructors. I hate to be the person that says yoga changed my life, but it really did! My practice has grown exponentially with the guidance and support from some of the best instructors out there.

I love this studio! I have meaning to write a review. I learned about this place via a Groupon. Took advantage of the one monthly unlimited and went to a variety of classes. The instructors are all very kind and are extremely welcoming. They make you feel as part of the studio family. I love Anthony's class and how he comes around and checks on form. I can't wait for my schedule to open some additional time where I can go back. Feel so restored after each class! Highly recommend the Sunday over Easy class.

I drive a 50-60 minutes round trip to practice here and it is worth every minute of the ride. I discovered The Woods a few months back based on a friend's recommendation. I was practicing in a non-heated studio closer to my home but was feeling like my practice was stuck in a rut and getting very stale. I immediately fell in love with the Woods. Not even kidding: I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to live in Rhode Island for the long term because I couldn't find a place to practice. Anthony and Christine are pouring themselves into this studio and have built an instant community. If you're looking for a Miami or LA-level serious workout taught by people with genuine expertise, this is your place. If you've worked out at Equinox or in a private training TRX gym, Strength In Yoga is going to be your jam-- just don't take my spot in class! ; )
