Global Child Nutrition Foundation
School feeding programs are a powerful and integrated way to encourage children to attend school, support their learning, and prepare them for success. Working with local farmers and making use of perishable foods such as fruits and vegetables, schools can provide daily meals to more children while increasing local economic returns.

We are a global network working together to ensure that hunger is not a barrier for learning for any child. There is an immediate opportunity to reach 65 million school age children around the world who currently attend school but do not get enough to eat. Help us reach them by making a tax-deductible contribution to GCNF today.

The Global Child Nutrition Foundation (GCNF) stimulates investment in nutritious school meals, unlocking political will and resources necessary to implement and sustain national programs. GCNF helps governments around the world build national school meal programs that are locally-sourced, develop markets for smallholder farmers, create opportunities for female entrepreneurs, and are ultimately independent from international aid.
The GCNF Global Business Network engages companies large and small in the effort to strengthen their relationship with government-operated national school meal programs. By integrating social impact, transparency, good practices, and business returns, we facilitate public-private partnerships that are sustainable and high impact for all involved.
The Gene White Lifetime Achievement Award for Child Nutrition was created in 2004 to honor individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the worldwide dream of ending childhood hunger. This prestigious award is given in the name of Gene White, who has dedicated her life to the nutrition and well-being of children.
