If you are looking for an affordable place to live temporarily, peaceful, safe and quiet then East Gate Apartments is for you. East Gate is almost close to anything. The Military base, schools, gas stations like Wawa and 7/Eleven (perfect for midnight snacks), My favorite gym Onelife Gym , and my favorite cafe in the area - Coffee 1010. In comparison to other areas, where the rent maybe $1,500 or more, but you suffer by how far it is from work (30 mins to an hour).

I just got swindled by this place. Said an apartment was available NOW... the website also says avaialable NOW... was told to put in an application and pay the fee, which is not small. Fifty bucks. The next day I was told that apt would not be available until mid November. Do NOT attempt to rent here. Times are apoarently so tough for landlords and rental companies that they have to post an apt they have no intention of renting so fifidty or so applicants can pay a rental application fee that they merely pocket. Fifty bucks from fifty applicants. You do the math.

The management offered me a 1 bdr partially remodeled unit where they want me to move in by May 31 instead of June. They gave me the weekend to decide. This gave me second thoughts as they want to collect prorated May rent, June rent, and last month rent from me. And of course, it's hard not to view a unit in person before deciding.
When I ignored the offer, they posted the unit online for other applicants to apply. The move-in date stated June 1 instead of May 31. I knew something was up. When I asked the management if that was the one she offered to me, it is. The other day, she warned that

I am so thankful that I found east gate apartments while living in VA! The apartment was clean, re-carpeted and repainted when I moved in. Gino and Donna were very responsive and helpful whenever I needed anything regarding my unit! They have a maintenance man that is on premise all of the time so that all orders are addressed quickly! Some other great things about the property are that it’s pet friendly, secluded and quiet, plenty of parking, has Orkin spray regularly for preventative measures and is actually cheaper than surrounding rates! I HIGHLY reccomend renting with east gate if you are

This is more of a comment -- but due to my young age and high income I was accused of selling drugs despite providing pay stubs from my work. Extremely unprofessional and I am ashamed to see such bias.
I cannot comment on the location or actual apartment. But I feel as though a review of the way I was handled during the application process makes this an appropriate review.
