Quality Music and Dance has spent the last eighteen (22) years committed to serving our community and helping to expand the arts in Chesapeake and the surrounding area's of South Hampton Roads and North Eastern North Carolina. Whether you are looking to dance or want to learn a instrument Quality Music and Dance has a program for you.
That question is often asked by prospective students. Our teachers make it a priority to get to know you on a personal level and to become familiar with your personal musical needs and goals. We do not treat every student the same in terms of what and how we teach. A seven year old having their first guitar lesson will have very different needs than a fifty seven year old taking up piano for the 2nd time after having had lessons as a child.
Grace, and beauty, it can be a true joy to watch as a dancer expresses there emotion as they move, feeling the joy and the sadness is truly a gift that is being shared. A moment in time in which you forget where you are and absorbed in the story being told. Unaware of anything around you, focused only on the dancer until the end and as the dance stops you are sad for it is over, and glad to have been a part of it.
MUSIC FunTime - The Magical Connection of Math & Science through Music is now available to you with an innovative new group program for children ages 18 months through 7 years. Music FunTime is different than the typical preschool music program. Music FunTime is not a simple play group where children sing, dance, jump & play instruments.
We Love Quality Music Centers home town family atmosphere. The instructors are professional, knowledgeable, kind, and truly care about the future of our kids. They are involved with the community and strive for success. Our children have been taking lessons here for three years. We wouldn't go anywhere else.

Muffy and Wayne are seriously the best! We moved from California two years ago, we truly didn’t know a soul when we first moved here. Wayne and Muffy have become like a second family to us! I feel so blessed to be apart of the Quality Music family and thank them for all the support, encouragement and growth they bring to our boys! They are seriously helping grow our boys into better men. Music is such an important gift to give your kids and I just am blown away by the staff here! You will not find a better studio for music and dance I promise!

My children have learned a lot from the various classes and private lessons provided by QMD. The staff excels at creating a great atmosphere for the kids. During the COVID crisis, the staff quickly adjusted with the abrupt restrictions placed on their business and communicated extremely well with all customers on the changes.

My daughter is has been dancing at this studio for 2 years. Her dance instructors, and Mrs. Kathryn & Mrs. Muffy, by far are an absolute pleasure to work with. They are very encouraging, patient, and they consistently have my daughters best interest at heart. They are in constant communication with me regarding their concerns, upcoming events and my daughters progress. A 5 start rating is an understatement. I highly recommend this studio and my daughter feels like they are her second family! QM&D, you guys are rockstars! Keep it up and thank you for all you do!

Brought my son's clarinet in for a repair, as he dropped it and 2 of the keys ceased to function. I was expecting a large repair bill and having to drop it off. They looked at it quickly and knew exactly what it was. Lost screw. Quick fix and didn't charge me. Can't thank them enough. Customer service is terrific every time I go in there. Always a smiling face....unlike another local music shop. Thanks again and you have a permanent customer
