Celebrating our 12th year of dancing, Center Stage Dance Company is located in the Kempsville area of Virginia Beach. We are a recreational and competitive dance studio. Our first priority is to instill a love of dance in each child, once we achieve this goal, dancers are more willing to accept new technique and can go further.
We are committed to every student that attends our classes. It is important that they receive quality and individual instruction in a comfortable and friendly environment. It is important to us that each child learns to develop people skills, work as a team in a group environment, become well rounded citizens, commit to the duration of the program, and have fun!

Services
This class is designed for our youngest dancers and requires adult participation. This class introduces your little one to the basics of ballet and creative movement. They will learn basic dance steps and how they can use their body to create art! Our teachers use a variety of props and techniques each week to keep the class exciting for our tiny dancers.
Center Stage Dance Company is also a mobile dance studio! We travel to local preschools to offer classes during the day. These classes are structured exactly like our studio classes, only without the hassle of driving your student to dance! Students will have tap, ballet, and creative movement/jazz instruction each week.
Dancers must wear their hair up in a neat style. Buns are preferred, pony tails need to be worn to keep the hair out of your face and off your neck. NO loose braids. Secure your hair back away from your face with no loose or wispy hairs that could fall in your eyes. Hip Hop Students may wear street clothes that are stretchy and comfortable.
In December, students can participate in our Holiday Showcase Costumes are rented and your all inclusive tuition covers both the costume rental and 5 tickets. Students and families find this show a wonderful opportunity and really love this time on stage! In June, we have our end of the year recital, complete with the costumes you purchase and keep forever!
We typically follow the Virginia Beach Schools calendar and closings. Weather related closures are also based on the VB schools decision, but always use your best judgement when inclement weather arises. We will typically be open if VB schools decides on make-up days. In the event of a mandated closure, we will transition into zoom/online classes as required.

My daughter and I love this place! The staff is nothing short of amazing!!
My daughter took her first ballet class last year. She then wanted to try hip hop so I put her in the summer camp for hip hop and she loved it. Well when the time came to re register her for fall classes, I took too long and the classes filled up. I wrote the staff explaining how much she really wanted to be in hip hop. Next thing I know I got an email confirming the hip hop registration.
I love how involved the staff is with each and every student. I love that anytime I go in to pick my daughter up from class, it's nothing

We spent two years in two different dance companies before moving to Center Stage Dance Company. At the other businesses, there was little to no concern for "the child".
We gratefully appreciate the clear of loving manner all the teachers at CSDC treat their students by understanding their problems and encouging them to strive for better. A terrific philosophy by which to live!
The children feel able to do their best and to work as a team! Each dance clearly showed creative thinking and skillful teaching. The recital was absolutely adorable, completely entertaining and 'not' redundant. The costumes

Fantastic! warm, caring, patient. they really care about each dancer. my daughter is 3 and loves going to class. She had her 1st dance show and there was no pressure, she did amazing, all because Miss Jada is so caring and accepting. thx for making such a family centered studio for these kids to find the love of dance.
