We are a world class Jiu Jitsu school in Northfield, a suburb of Chicago. We offer world class jiu jitsu instructions for both kids and adults in a healthy, clean, and safe environment. Ashur, Dan, & the entire class were very welcoming and very patient. The class was very educational and the environment was clean. If you really want to push yourself and get a great workout surrounded by great people, get out of your comfort zone & go down there and try it out.

After joining Ashur’s gym, I’ve become a completely different man. While training at The academy, I’ve lost so much weight and became more confident in all aspects in life. Not only has it been a physical transformation for me, but a mental one as well. I’ve cultivated a warrior mentality that I take with me in business as well as Jiu jitsu. I never walk in fear knowing what I know now, thanks to the academy and the greatest coach, Ashur.

Great environment for people who want to learn quality jiu jitsu. The students are all very nice and always willing to help out. Professor Ashur is very knowledgeable in the sport and accommodates for each student desired needs. The mui Thai classes are great as well and have helped me develop a decent stand up game.

The Instructor is the most patient and detailed instructor I have ever come across. I had a great experience here and he helped me with all my questions. If I had college professors this good I’d be a rocket scientist by now. If you want to learn to defend yourself definitely check it out!

Awesome place to train, learn, and have some fun! Ashur and all the instructors are great and have a lot of valuable experience to share. Love this academy! Professor Ashur is a great coach and instructor who knows how to bring out the best in his students. The gym itself is impeccably clean, bright, and in a perfect location for those who live in or are visiting the area. The team is welcoming, competitive, and fun. Looking forward to returning on subsequent trips to the area.
