Located in downtown Ithaca, Dr. Elizabeth Billiot and staff provide quality dentistry to children and adults in a relaxed, comfortable environment. We also provide patients with knowledge to promote good oral health and enhance their quality of life. I was wary about seeing a new dentist, but Dr Billiot was gentle, kind and patient with my dental anxieties.
She explained conditions in my mouth and various treatment options in a way I could easily understand.

Services
Beth, and Melissa are our wonderful licensed hygienists you will get to know and who will take great care of you. They work diligently to customize each appointment to your individual needs. This includes updating your medical history, preforming a periodontal evaluation and taking necessary x-rays for a thorough examination by the doctor.
Infants, children, and adults with lip and tongue ties can have tethered oral tissue revision painlessly by laser. Patients with dental anxiety can feel more relaxed with oral sedation or nitrous oxide sedation during treatment. Laser dentistry can speed healing and reduce pain of cold sores, canker sores, and other oral lesions.
I was determined to breastfeed before I was ever pregnant so when I found out we were having twins, I did as much research as I could about beginning a good breastfeeding relationship: skin to skin after birth, no pacifiers, no bottles for a few months and absolutely no formula. Then my girls were born 7 weeks early, and my plan went to crap.

I called to make a appointment for four year old son and my call never left the desk. After the hello the receptionist first response to me was hello yes we require payment up front and requested my credit card number. In my response to her statement i was confused about how would you know what to charge for whats needed done. Thought dental insurance covers. Ive heard of copay but not reimbursement from my insurance

Switched dentists as Dr Billiot took over Dr Bonaparte's practice. I LOVE going to the dentist and this is a great practice. Friendly assistants and hygienists. I love Beth. Dr Billiot is super friendly and explains everything in detail. She's very careful and thorough. It's easy to get to from work and usually there's parking in the back. If not, there are usually a couple of spots out front (for a fee). Dr Billiot offers mini implants which are way less invasive and quicker to heal than traditional dental implants if needed.

I have tried calling the office to schedule an appointment every day that they state that they are open, sometimes even twice a day, and left messages, one of which I have received and missed. I am fairly new to Ithaca and this Dental office is the only one that accepts my insurance in a 50 mile radius. It is very disappointing that a Doctor with such great reviews does not have a reliable reception and call back system.

It's always a pleasant experience which is weird to say about a trip to the dentist. From Crystal to my Maria to Dr. Heck..everyone is kind, cheerful, answers questions honestly, able to propose solutions to "problems", gives freely of information when asked. My work schedule and transportation circumstances are respected and accommodated with courtesy and grace. Thank you all for your professionalism and kindness.

The receptionist is very rude, both on the phone and in person. The hygienist will condescendingly lecture you on your tooth care the entire time she has her fingers stuck in your mouth. Dr. Heck will rush in and make an appearance for all of three minutes. They will push Xrays and procedures on you even if you don't need them in order to get more money out of your insurance company. And if you have children, you had better watch them very closely, because they will attempt to perform procedures on your kids without consulting you first. After going here for several years, our three children

This was my first time visiting a dentist in Ithaca. Did a random internet search and found this office had decent reviews. Just had a routine cleaning, and x-rays taken. Very pleased with the office, staff, and doctor. They were friendly, explained what they were doing along the way, and were receptive to questions. A very easy visit, I would go back and refer them to others.
