In order to serve our patients at the best general, family and cosmetic dentistry in Ithaca, our practice utilizes today's most advanced technology and techniques. Dr. Anthony Raggi is known for his conservative approach and makes it his mission to help our patients restore and maintain their gorgeous smiles, All while enabling them to be preventive in their own care as well.
For Dr. Raggi, the number one goal of a New Patient Experience is to build strong relationships with all of our patients. As such, all of our Adult New Patient Experiences consist of a two part process. The first part is an hour long Comprehensive Consultation, including X-rays, oral cancer screening, and exam.
For children ages 5-11 who have been to a dentist previously, we recommend a full New Patient Child visit. This is a single one hour appointment that includes a comprehensive oral exam, x-rays, a cleaning, and a fluoride treatment*. For children 5 and under who have never been to a dentist before, we provide a special service called a Happy Visit!
We are an "out-of-network" provider. As a courtesy to our patients, we still submit claims to your insurance on your behalf. That's right; we do the paperwork for you! We work with your insurance plan in order to reduce your out of pocket costs. And! If your insurance company requires a pre-authorization in advance of your treatment, we can handle all of that paperwork too.

If you travel toward the Shops at Ithaca Mall (formerly the Pyramid Mall) on N. Triphammer Rd, you will see the entrance to the Village Office Campus directly across from the Squeaky Clean Car Wash.

This is an experience. The kindness and fun that flows through this office is truly very noticeable. What a great first impression! Clean and nicely decorated, the waiting area has a massage chair! What a great idea for anyone who is anxious visiting the dentist. My hygienist Kendrin was not only thorough, but very intelligent and kept dropping these gems of dental knowledge upon me as I was getting my cleaning! Already pleased with my experience, in walks the one and only Dr. Tony Raggi, part comedian part dentist part Italian cousin from Brooklyn, who reminds me of the the type A overachievers

Today was my first time going to Gorges dental and boy was I surprised. Usually when I go to the dentist i have alot of anxiety and nervousness but today was different. The staff at Gorges are kind, helpful and make your whole experience great from the beginning. They make sure you are well informed and taken care of through every part of the visit and they take time for any questions or concerns you may have. Dr. Raggi, Jocelyn & Matti made my first experience incredible and I look forward to going back for my next appt Thank you Gorges Dental for going above and beyond!

So, wisdom teeth are no fun. Dental visits are fun, well, not usually. Pretty intense stuff when the time comes to pass through the magical doors of adulthood and get them pulled. Fear not, Dr. Raggi is as cool and competent as they come. His staff, all the way through the office, is just the best.
So, not fun getting those teeth pulled. But - it was not scary, it was not stressful, and it was not painful. After care was amazing.
Dr. R and his team are really good at what they do and they care for you and about you. The process from billing to procedure was explained thoroughly and with compassion

I had a dental emergency and called dentists all over Ithaca for a same-day appointment. Everyone else said the earliest they could fit me in was 1-2 weeks from now, but Dr. Raggi's office was able to adjust their schedule and expertly treat me within hours of my call. The staff was the kindest I'd ever met, and Tucker the pug brightened my experience all the more.

Dr. Raggi and his staff took care of me when I had a dental emergency. They fit me into his packed schedule and made me feel like I was their most important patient. Dr. Raggi is hands-down the best dentist I've ever had. I'm used to people looking at me strangely when I say I enjoy going to the dentist but at work today, one person was talking about a great dentist that they had and then they said the name and all of us were excited to contribute to the conversation. It turns out that several of us all travel over half an hour to see him. And we all think he's the best dentist we've ever had. It's amazing how passionate he is about what he does and how it translates to other people having positive experiences at his office. One

I've had only good experiences at Gorges dental.
Anthony & all of the employees, dental hygienists, & interns were all very pleasant and happy to do what they do. This office has a light, fun, and professional energy all at the same time. They have some funky sunglasses they use to prevent you from being blinded by the super bright lights they use to look at those chompers.

Had 2 appointments this past week for cleaning & periodontal exam with Melissa and then a new replacement filing with Dr. Raggi. They are very friendly, professional and efficient. They explain what they are doing and are concerned with your comfort. I am very satisfied with the care I received from this practice. They are up on new techniques and again discuss the differences and how one technique is better than another. The rest of the staff were as friendly and welcoming as Dr Tony and Melissa Again, I am very satisfied with the care that I receive from Gorges Dental and would recommend
