The Painted Cut is our custom approach to cut & color, designed by Eva to seamlessly blend the two distinct crafts into one beautiful creation. The hair is first cut to the shape and contours of your face and head, then depth and contrast is created with balayage highlights and lowlights. We love to see a client's smile and excitement as she gazes in the mirror at what she believed was impossible - she LOVES her hair!
Our flagship salon at 139 Fifth Avenue, NYC, is located between 20th and 21st Streets in the historic Flatiron District. The salon was designed in collaboration with acclaimed interior designer, Kara Mann, to create the ultimate luxury beauty experience for our clents. As you enter from the elevator, which opens to our vestibule, custom arches lead through a grand hallway, adorned by matching vintage Venini chandeliers.
Our hair and makeup artists regularly work in television, music, editorial, and fashion, as well as weddings and other special events. I had a lovely hair cut and conversation with my new neighbor in Pound Ridge, Eva Scrivo. The products were lush and the cut really lightened me up. Eva showed me some hair tricks and I'm very pleased with the outcome of my hour spent in her new space. After going to another professional salon it was confirmed that the damage was caused by improper styling which means that it was indeed this salon that damaged my hair. As my hair is in box braids I should see some improvement by next summer. No client can damage their own hair if they never do their own hair. Only a salon can do that kind of damage. As A child I got my hair washed blow dry and straightened with an old fashion hot comb since the age of 8 never had any hair damage. I go to Eva Scrivo Salon regularly and so I knew I wanted Amanda Gabbard to do my bridal makeup. I actually had two weddings-- Western and Eastern--and Amanda nailed two very different looks without too much direction from me. I felt amazing at both events and she also made my mother, mother-in-law, and best girls shine! Beyond the results, the experience was lovely-- she is always friendly and cheerful and puts me at ease. I certainly felt pampered and cared for on my most special weekend.

I've worked with Amanda Gabbard for years and finally got to experience her magic myself for my wedding! Amanda did my makeup for my wedding day and made me feel as beautiful as I ever have in my entire life--and also, still like myself. She really listened to me and what I was going for in my trial, and on my wedding day, she took her time with me and the women getting ready with me. I rarely leave reviews, however the services I received at the Eva Scrivo Salon blew me away. I was amazed to actually luck in to Eva coloring and cutting my hair herself. Her mastery is beyond compare and the only words I can use are, she is completely masterful and artistic at her craft. She is also brilliant and charming. Treat yourself!!! Then I had my make up done by Amanda and that too was so far above expectation as to leave me so filled with gratitude that there are still people who take their profession so seriously! She is incredibly thoughtful in her process - in terms of application placement for the best possible results. I desperately needed a cut and color and decided to try this salon out, I got the best haircut and color I've had since I moved to nyc 5 years ago. Antonia was amazing at figuring out what I wanted (I came a little unprepared) and Carissa did a dream job on my color. They were both incredibly attentive at making sure I loved what I was getting. Eva Scrivo is - by far - one of the best hair artists I have ever worked with. She basically saved my hair. When I first went there my hair was damaged, broken and painfully fragile. Over the years Eva and her team have turned it totally around. My hair is now waist length, 100% colored (most of it double processed) and in perfect health. As a client of this salon for many years, I have never once been disappointed. Eva delivers each and every time with grace and artistry unlike others in her profession. Her keen eye and creativity is exceptional and I always walk away looking and feeling great. Beautiful hair, that’s what I get! She has mentored and trained her staff to be as gracious and accommodating as she is with each client, and they take care to make each visit special. On that rare occasion when I was forced to go elsewhere, it was a fast trip back to Eva to get back my beautiful hair! All true.

I have been coming to this salon for close to 2 years now and they never fail to give me a great haircut! A friend recommended that I try them out and I have not looked back, these stylists are artists. I have been to a bunch of places in the city over the years but Eva Scrivo is by far the classiest and the most high end, yet down to earth enough that I am not afraid to tell them what I want - or more importantly what I DON'T want!They know what they are doing and the entire staff is extremely personable.

The blonde gods have heard my prayers and delivered a beautiful angel named Meri Kate. I had the worst experience going to a well reviewed Japanese hair salon for a regular root bump. They completely bleached my hair and turned me into a female slim shady.

Great service in a beautiful location. I wish I could afford to come here all the time. Fortunately, if you are willing to take a risk, you can get in with a salon apprentice for a very reasonable cost.
I had my hair cut, blow dried and styled today and am so happy with the results. The student really took her time and was very diligent and thoughtful about what she was doing. There was also an instructor who came around for necessary guidance and any touchups. It took a little longer than it might otherwise, but I walked out with a great haircut!

Yesterday I went from looking ok to looking completely fabulous. I totally felt at ease with Eva and gave her a "go for it" The color is something I would have never picked out and the style is out of the box. My FB page is filled with compliments. Eva's sister Vanetta did my makeup and really politely told me and directed me to less is more.
