What they won’t tell you is that I had to take this dog to another veterinarian to receive a dewormer because their veterinarian failed to call or text me back, after giving me a dog that had tapeworms. While it’s possible that they didn’t realize she had worms, it was inexcusable for his staff to fail to forward her medical documents to my veterinarian when I asked for them to send them over two days prior to her appointment with my vet.
What they ALSO won’t mention is how the two other veterinarians that I took her to see recommended that she receive a neurological consultation for her

All of these negative reviews, in row, look awfully suspicious . . . I hope that everyone will think and digest, before deciding based on this. Dr. Sod as ALWAYS Been incredible with my pets. A+

TERRIBLE SERVICE. Their "lead" vet tech yelled over the phone after canceling a surgery that was confirmed medically necessary by Dr. Sod an hour before. Dr. Sod said that he could still do the surgery after the tech called but then proceeded to cancel the whole thing a minute later because “his tech was upset” even though his tech was the one being rude and condescending. They CLEARLY do not value their customers the way they do their rude employees. DO NOT SEND YOUR ANIMALS HERE. THEY WILL NOT GET THE HELP THEY NEED.

I would give this place 0 stars if possible. Let’s begin with horrible customer service. Melanie, began by condescending me, catching an attitude, and not offering any help or sympathy in the matter, and finally slamming the phone down. Dr. Sod basically told me that my case was not important and he could not do the surgery even though he already stated he would do it, all because he could not lose Melanie. If you care about your animals and customer service DO NOT bring your animals here!

0 stars isn't an option, but if it was that's what i would put. Melanie "lead" vet tech, should be "leave vet tech" has terrible customer service. Melanie is not good with dealing with customers when something doesn't go right. She will yell and cry at you.
If you want what is best for your pet, do not come here.

If you love your animals, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! The worst customer service and rude employees. The vet tech named Melanie was extremely unprofessional and unkind. She handled a very sensitive situation very poorly. Please go somewhere else!!

I am so happy I was recommended this office! I signed up for the puppy program which helped a lot with my dog’s vaccination visits cost and even a discount on his neutering. Megan has been super thorough with me every time and has stood outside in the heat making sure to answer all my questions (couldn’t come in due to COVID.) Dr Sod made sure I had his personal cellphone number in case of an emergency, which I find very nice and caring. Overall just a great experience!

Dr. Sod and his staff at St. Gabriel Animal Hospital are the best around the Baton Rouge area. I have tried many Vets that cost a fortune with little care. Dr. Sod is affordable and the most caring Vet I've experienced. I have a bulldog and a labradoodle and Dr. Sod takes his time interacting and building a relationship with each dog. Our dogs are treated like family at this clinic. Do not hesitate to give him a shot. My bulldog has a bad case of "fly biting" and Dr. Sod was the only Vet that figured out the solution. I am so thankful for their help!

Hands down the best Vet care any of my dogs have ever received has been by Dr. Sod and his wonderful staff at St. Gabriel Animal Hospital. Brought my baby in on a Sunday morning for an emergency and I can assure you he received the best care possible. He met us at his clinic, diagnosed him, gave us a cost on what he recommended be done, I know our sweet boy was in excellent care. His prices are more than fair for the attention and care your pet will receive. Highly skilled surgeon with a wonderful bedside manner.

I am incredibly impressed with Dr. Sod and the entire staff of the St. Gabriel Animal Hospital. My beloved boy, Toby, received expert care with unlimited amounts of compassion from not only Dr. Sod but from all of the staff as well as Shawn, the precious clinic cat and Ginger, the much-loved clinic dog owned by Dr. Sod. Before we left that afternoon, Dr. Sod asked us if we would like to see the facility and he then took us on a tour to let us see exactly where our Toby would be staying while in his care. He gave me his personal cell phone number and told me to call anytime with ANY concern I may
