Jeannie Delaughter is our assistant office manager. She grew up down the bayou in the small town of Napoleonville Louisiana and has always had a big heart for all animals. Helping her mom board and care for dogs in their home is what made her want to continue working and caring for animals.
She began working for Kleinpeter Veterinary Hospital in July of 2006 as a kennel technician, was a vet technician for 2 years, and now continues to work as a receptionist and supervisor.She enjoys the connections she has made with a lot of our clients and their pets. Jeannie now lives in Dutchtown with her daughters, Caroline and Emma and stepson Izaac.

At Kleinpeter Veterinary Hospital, our team of doctors and veterinary technicians are ready to provide you and your pet with the best and latest medical services. From routine wellness and surgery to bloodwork and digital x-rays, we're here to keep your pet healthy. We have the ability to run many lab tests in house, but in the event we cannot, we send it out to our trusted lab, Antech.
One of the keys to your pet's health is heading off medical issues or illnesses before they occur. The best way to do that is with proper wellness care, which alerts you and your veterinarian to any conditions that may be develop down the road, and helps you prevent them before they cause a problem.
Here at Kleinpeter Veterinary Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, we are happy to provide you with boarding services for your pet. We have friendly, animal loving staff that will take great care of them while you are away and make your pet feel like they are part of our Kleinpeter family. We provide bedding and bowls in all of our boarding accommodations.

I don’t trust my dogs to anyone else! I Dr. Kleinpeter and Dr. Latkovich are so good to my pups! Allie & Lauren are fantastic along with the rest of the office staff. A great vet has equally wonderful staff! Additionally, there’s no other groomer that I can trust to take care of my doodles! They know me by name and I feel they appreciate my business.

My Pekingese LOVES coming here. When she gets home, she’s exhausted and takes almost a day to recover. I don’t know what happens during daycare, but whatever it is, is immensely fun and enjoyable. I love knowing my baby is safe and having fun while I’m busy.

Absolutely love this vet practice. Upfront I'll admit haven't entered the building myself. My mom brought my two daughters and our family female dwarf hamster (Bailey) when I was at work. Taking Bailey here when we did truly saved her life.
We are new hamster owners and didn't know what was happening. She had wet tail, and Dr. Kleinpeter told us (not the kids so as not to worry/scare them) that Bailey had a 50% chance of surviving. I'm not sure about the hospital services, but I will not be boarding my dog there again. When I picked her up it didn't seem like they had given her any of the toys or treats that they suggest you bring, the outdoor area even for the deluxe boarding was tiny. We paid extra for her to go to daycare, but on the weekends that isn't an option. The staff all seemed nice and capable but it felt like I was sending my puppy to prison.

Please let Dr. Schroeder know how pleased I am with her care of Bijou, our 19 year old FIV calico. She is a different cat this am! I did not realize how much pain she was in. Her mouth looks great!
She looks like a young cat again and has a sparkle in her eye. I'm so pleased with the way Dr. Schroeder managed her post op pain. It is allowing her to rest and recover in comfort. Thank you again!

I have been going here for over 2 years. Yesterday will be my last appointment there ever. I currently have 2 dogs. My bill for an examination blood work (which I did NOT sign approval for bc I had more questions) was $723.00!!!!! On of my dogs did not even GET annual shots. It is going to be ANOTHER $160 for his shots. I have often felt like I normally did not ever spend that much at the vet before. I came home and did some online digging. There are definitely much less expensive places than here.
I am also used to the actual vet coming in and speaking with me. Each time I am there, an assistant

Kleinpeter Veterinary Hospital is an amazing facility for all of your pet's needs- I will always use Kleinpeter for both boarding and any needs for my precious fur baby!!! We have been taking all of your dogs there, we are at seven now but were up top eleven at one time!!, for many years, actually since Dr. Kleinpeter opened the doors to her practice. We are so grateful that God placed her in our path when she first started because she has been a blessing to us and our dogs. She has developed not just a great practice but a great and trustworthy place where we can take our pets and know that they are in good hands at reasonable prices. We always commend her because she has gathered to her practice a tremndously good staff.

We've been going to Kleinpeter for at least 15 years. They started in one small building and are now overflowing out of two. I've never had a problem getting an appointment the day I call, but they are getting busier all the time.
It's obvious that they care for their patients' well being, and we've seen that from all of the doctors. Over the years, we've had three pets that went through expensive complications (one with cancer) and surgeries before inevitably needing to be put down. All three times, they didn't charge us a cent for that final visit. They deserve
