I've been going to Dr. Szeto for DECADES and I absolutely love her and her staff! I've visited other optometrists when I lived away from LA, but no one seems to have the same level of care and attention that Dr. Szeto provides to her patients.

I've been coming to this place for years I want to say ever since I was 9 or 10 now I'm 20 and I'm sitting here writing this review because i want everyone to know how amazing is this place. I really recommend everyone who is a first time patient to make an appointment with Dr.Szeto shes is just the best. Any questions i have she always has an answer for it ! Shes very knowledgeable, funny and concerning about the patients. Not like my boyfriends old optometrist that only dedicated 10 mins to him and moved to the next patient so i asked my boyfriend to come with my optometrist instead

This establishment is one of the worst in nature. This was also where I got my first pair of glasses and many more to come, but the staff here doesn't acknowledge good customer service and lacks consistency every time I visit. In 2019, customer service is what keeps your business running. I felt that Dr. Szeto was more artificial and over natural, in terms of conversations and how she treats her patients. This review is long overdue. I haven't come here for a long time for good reason. All through elementary school, they "helped" me with my glasses.
I only came here because of family loyalty. After all the years of dirty looks, unhelpfulness, rudeness, and snarky comments, I became a adult and moved my butt out of there ASAP. Imagine my surprise to find this place still open and in business! I can't imagine anyone wanting to come here and deal with the staff here.

I haven't gotten my eyes checked in a couple years and really glad I got it done here! The entire team was extremely knowledgeable, explained each step and overall experience was efficient. I came in, checked in and started my exam right away. After picking my glasses and signing out, the entire process took less than an hour. Would recommend!

Shady! They'll refuse to give you the prescription and will try to pressure you into buying one of their frames/contact lenses. I went there to get an eye exam but didn't want to buy their frames. They were very reluctant to give me my prescription and the younger of the two receptionists (there's one middle aged one and a younger asian one) kept demanding in a rude tone why I need the prescription. Hello, what I do with my prescription is my damn business. When I kept demanding she give me the prescription, they started to talk with each other in Chinese, making it very obvious

I've been seeing Dr. Szeto for over 10 years and have never had any problems. She has always made the right assessments and recommendations. They moved to a newer office a few months ago and it is a lot bigger and nicer. As another reviewer indicated, the negative reviews here mostly come from a few English-speaking customers who even know what Yelp is. Do not let these reviews deter you from coming here. I've been a customer for a long time and I will keep coming back here ever year.

I and my other family members have been a patients for 20+ years. The one time I tried another optometrist, it was a horrible experience. I've moved multiple times and I take the time once a year to come back and get a proper exam and fitting here.
I don't understand the horrible ratings. I've always had wonderful service here and they have always charged me the correct fee and provided a receipt.

I'm not sure what's with the previous reviews, but it seems like the only people who have reviewed this place on yelp are the disgruntled customers. The majority (probably 95% if not more) of the customers I've seen here are Chinese/Vietnamese-speaking and have no command of the English language. If they were able to communicate on Yelp, I can assure you the ratings would be much higher. Otherwise, they wouldn't be booked full of appointments every week, right? Anyway here's my story.

I've been coming to Dr. Stezo for a few years now to get my glasses and contact lens.
They have always charged me $50 fitting fee along with my copay.. I once questioned them saying that my insurance covers the fitting fee, but they claimed that it didn't.
As a contact wearer, I complained that my contacts sometimes made my eyes dry. Dr. Stezo said I had astigmatism. So I started spending more on contacts since astigmatism contact lens are pricier.
Fast forward 2 years later. They called me to come in for my eye exam, I declined.
I went to see another Optometrist

Honestly if I could give this place 0 stars I would. It's absolutely the WORST optometry you could ever go to like seriously. She gave me the wrong prescription and it's like 4x stronger than I need it to be. I went to two other optometrists and they both were completely different from this ones. Please don't go here for you eyes sake.
Side note: I'm not sure if it's just because she hates me though because when I was little (like 6 years old) I ran out of her office because I was scared LOL

My experience at Envue Optometry was superb! The staff was courteous and were able to reasonably accommodate my walk-in request on a fully booked schedule. Dr. Szeto was very knowledgeable and professional. I requested a special eye screening as well, and she was very informative regarding my eye condition. I'm appreciative of their use of current technology to assist in my examination. From a future health professional, I highly recommend Envue. Appointment is recommended!

BEWARE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Be careful if you buy your glasses here. I ordered the best coating for my eyeglasses before I left to college. My purchase included anti reflective and uv coating for my lenses. Later, I found out that there was no anti reflective or uv coating added on to the frames at all! I think the optometrist tried to skip out on costs and was hoping that I would not notice. She is so lucky that my college is in another state so I cannot demand an immediate refund! AVOID!

The optometrist didn't realize I had walked in when she was making these comments, nor did she think I can understand Chinese

I came here because a friend of mine works here and recommended it to me. I was very satisfied with this place. If you read my other eyeglass post, I had a messed up exam and was wearing the wrong prescription for half a year. This place has a very friendly family atmosphere and most importantly the eye exam was very thorough.
This place gets a lot of business, I recommend you make an appointment before coming.
