I was born and raised in Kansas where I practiced optometry for four years before finally joining my wife, Dr. Julie Phan, in sunny southern California.

I highly recommend San Marino Optometry. From the time I entered the office, I received a warm welcome and everyone was courteous, professional and knowledgeable. They have state of the art equipment and a great selection of frames. My appointment was on time and all options of lenses were explained in detail. Best office visit ever!

I visited San Marino Optometry this December and thoroughly enjoyed my visit! Everyone was super nice/accommodating and knowledgeable. I saw Dr. Nguyen and he was awesome! To be honest, I'm not that into small talk with doctors/dentists/etc. but he was extremely personable and our conversation wasn't forced or awkward in the slightest. He was genuine and just a good dude. He even wrote me a personalized note a couple weeks later following up on a couple movies I encouraged him to watch. I'll definitely be going back in the future!

San Marino Optometry is a lovely gem of an optometry office located in a charming, modestly-sized mid-Century modern shop on Huntington Boulevard, with lots of free parking immediately nearby. This is the first year I’ve worked with them, and Drs. Phan and Nguyen, and their staff, proved to be highly knowledgeable, personable, and a pleasure to work with. I’ll definitely be coming back as my prescription changes.

I needed to use my Flex Spending dollars at the end of last year, so I decided to get some new glasses. I found San Marino Optometry online.
Getting an appointment was easy and parking was a breeze. Dr Nguyen was very thorough during my examination, taking extra time to make sure I understood everything and explaining my eye health to me. After the exam, I found a frame I loved from a brand I hadn't heard of, but Dr Nguyen had information about the brand and showed me the quality craftsmanship from Japan I would be getting with the frame I selected. I feel like I'm getting a quality samurai sword

While on vacation in California, I tore my last pair of contact lenses. I was basically blind until I discovered this lifesaver of an optometry office. Going to the doctor’s is the last thing you want to do while on vacation but everything about this experience was as convenient and stress-free as possible. I booked an appointment seamlessly on my phone, found parking right in front of the office (a rarity in big cities), got new contacts and was out of there in under an hour. Dr. Nguyen was great! Knowledgeable and easy to talk to, he was sympathetic towards my situation and got me fixed up

I love this office! It's so neat and the staffs are amazing. I feel like I'm getting a spa when I come here for my eye exam. Dr. Phan and Dr. Nguyen are super personal and makes you feel comfortable. There have really great selections on eyeglasses and sunglasses as well. I got my eyes check...you should too!

The duo Doctors are attentive and extremely informative during my eye exam. Dr. Phan took her time in explaining what she was doing and why she was doing it. I told her of the recent issue I had with my eyes when working and she asked the appropriate questions and confidently provided a solution.
