Services
In 1989, Donna, Junie's daughter-in-law, bought the restaurant. She learned well from Junie and Momma B who still helped out and encouraged Donna all the way. Momma B passed away in 1999. She left behind a legacy. Junie continued to work for Donna until 1996. He died in 2001. Donna continued on, training her own children.

Such a Diamond in the rough! Found this place on our way back from Ski Liberty. The food is aaaamazing and the staff is extremely pleasant. Southern hospitality is def represented here. They even denied me the ribs because they said it was still being smoked for the next day. Actually don’t come here I don’t wanna wait in line

The first time here last week, we placed an order for pickup. Ordered pulled pork, brisket, and a few other dishes for all of us to share. Everything was excellent and the bbq was killer!! Stopped in the next day to get some beers to go as they have an excellent selection of craft beers on draft and in cans/bottles. Everyone was super friendly and I felt like part of their family. The owner even gave me some samples of his home brews that he’s doing. As I sat there enjoying an ipa on tap, I saw all of the dishes coming out and they all looked delicious. Wish I had discovered this place years

Was up in Thurmont for a little business and needed lunch. Pulled into Bollinger's, walked in, very homey relaxed atmosphere.
Menu has so many options everyone will find something to enjoy. Specials this day included chicken livers, and oysters both with sides for a complete meal. I decided on a burger, the J.B. (picture below) which came with the BBQ sauce, and I chose side of fries. The BBQ sauce was so good on the burger I asked the server for a small cup of sauce to dip the fries in. Speaking of which the fries were perfectly crisp outside and tender inside. The burger, ordered as medium rare

A week ago went to Bolingers and got a brisket dinner. It was moist and hot .. Perfect. This week two things went wrong. The brisket was not juicy or hot. It seemed like it was old. We also got a rack of ribs and you could not cut them. Even a sharp knife could not help. The waitress did replace them and off a discount (that never came). I asked if it was different cook. She said it could different than last week. Well I have to go I feel sick. P.S. the potato salad was weird and got left behind. Be careful

Stopped by for lunch after visiting cunningham falls state park. My wife and I both got burgers. Absolutely great. Cooked exactly as requested. Very tasty. Staff was friendly and attentive. Would definitely stop by again if in the area. Only super critical thought, some background music would be nice.

Great service, delicious bbq, outstanding home made desserts, clean dining room & sanitized tables will definitely make us return over & over again🍽 They also do a bumping take out business as witnessed by… countless cars stopping by the pick/up door!!!!! The NC bbq sauce was authentic, the smoked meats are juicy, the salads are small batched which means they are fresh & made daily in house so be advised - they will run out of some!!! My iced tea was so good it didn’t need sugar nor lemon wedges… Let’s go to Bollinger’s STAT🐷🐓

One of the best places I've found since moving to Frederick County. We tried the crabby fries, which were interesting because instead of crab dip it tasted more like cream of crab soup over fries. Good, but could have used more Old Bay seasoning. The Honey Garlic wings were excellent. Definitely the best wings I've had in the area. I had the brisket dinner, which was tender and delicious, and a very generous portion. Great tasting BBQ sauce on the side, very good broccoli salad too. I will definitely be back to try more.

From out of town, wanted to support small business decided to stop here. Seated and ordered food….waited over 45 minutes. Tables sat after us, served, ate and left prior to us even receiving our food. When… inquired was told grill was not working properly and it was the French toast we were waiting on…although the other table seated well after us were served French toast?!?! 🙄 then over heard staff talking and complaining about it… felt as if we were inconveniencing them?!?!
