Cataracts are a leading cause of vision issues for people over 40 and are one of the main causes of blindness. A cataract is described as cloudiness in your eye. This cloudiness is in the eye's lens behind the pupil and is caused by proteins clumping together. Cataracts can start small and develop slowly.

This needs clarification. Vision One has two different sides and they're not affiliated. The doctor's side, where you have your exam does not have a connection to the glasses side, where you order your glasses, although you pay under one bill. Contacts are ordered through the doctor's side.
I have been a patient there for over 7 years. I've always ordered my glasses through them. This year, my correction did not change and all I was interested in doing was to get new lenses into my existing frames. The cost was estimated at $1700.00! That was for the lenses alone.

Dr. Chong is one of those people that make the world a better place. She did everything she could to help me and she was the first to finally figure out what was happening to my eye sight. I recommend her highly. I also have to praise the front office. They are so easy to work with and they have amazing cutomer service.

Decided to give them a try based on the reviews and had the most disappointing experiencing. I was very clear during my appointment that I came in for computer glasses. Glasses came back quickly but were for my everyday prescription. The optometrist technician Lisa was very unfriendly during the entire process I would even say rude. No apology upon picking up the corrected glasses after waiting almost 30 days to get the right glasses for $400 +. Thanks but no thanks Vision One

Been going here for years now and I will keep going here. Dr. Fronk and staff here have always been very professional, delightful and do a great job! The quality of glasses I get are worth every penny. All of my glasses have lasted beyond what I would have expected their life expectancy to be. Thank you!!

I love Vision One BOISE! The doctor I see, Dr. Bodily and the eyeglass technicians are wonderful as well. There is a large selection of frames and contact lens care is top of the line as well. I have come away happy with all my interactions!
I highly recommend this vision care facility. Not to be confused with an Eagle location. They just "borrowed" the name.

Walked in and was happily greeted by friendly receptionists as soon as I reached the desk. They got me settled with my paperwork and I walked over to a big waiting area. Everything is nice, clean, orderly. Finished my paperwork and was pretty promptly taken back for my preliminary examination. Had to wait an extensive time for the doctor, but his first patient was late. He made no excuses. Just apologized and did their $29 eye picture thing for free. (This checks the health of your eye instantly without dilation.) Really appreciated that. Let me look at glasses. Spent time going through how much

I was a patient here for about 5 years. I never quite loved the demeanor of the office staff... but it wasn't a deal breaker. Last month I had an experience so terrible I am no longer a patient -- I am writing a review to warn others they may be better served going elsewhere.

The office is pleasant and quiet. I didn't wait long before a staff member began the imaging process to check for any changes in eye health (I forget what it's called, but it's a high-tech alternative to the dilation technique. Dilation is available if you want to avoid paying for the imaging option.).
They also did a peripheral vision check - the video game-like "watch for the dots and click this button" test.
Dr. Fronk has been my optometrist for about 14 years and is always very friendly and easy to talk to. He answers my questions and is generally nice to work

I found the office staff to be friendly and helpful. I did however feel like the woman who did all my eye tests appeared to be in a hurry. She was walking around so fast, and acted like she was trying to get me through asap. During my review with the eye doctor I heard her tell other co workers good bye. So I think my suspicions were correct. Other frustrating thing was I came in to see why I was suddenly having blindness in one eye. The doctor seemed flabbergasted and told me to come back in a week for a full eye exam and that it would probably get better. It didn't.

I have been using Vision One for several years and have been very happy with them. Dr. Fronk has a great "bed-side manner" and always makes me comfortable. The frame selection is nice although they are a little on the expensive side. The people in the lab are always helpful and knowledgeable with adjustments, and didn't mind at all when I had new lenses put in my older frames or when I bought frames elsewhere. I have not experienced anyone in the office be less than nice, and the two women that have helped me pick frames and buy glasses were especially great. I recommend this office
