I have worn Costco Kirkland brand contacts for the last 5 years. In order to continue ordering them, I needed a prescription for Cooper Vision contact lenses since they are the Kirkland equivalent. Kosinski Eye Care has Cooper Vision lenses listed on their website for sale. As soon as Dr. Shailka Dawar heard I was ordering my lenses from Costco, she said she wouldn't write the prescription. I had the lenses with me and showed her the packaging. She said they weren't her brand. She wanted me to purchase a more expensive brand from Kosinski and sent me home with a week of trial lenses and

What a wonderful bunch of professionals! I would recommend them to anyone looking for glasses. Simple, sensible safety practices made it very comfortable during a scary time in our world. Thank you for making my eyeglass appointment fun!

This clinic is a joke! Receptionist that looks like a butch spoke to not only us very rudely but another patient as well. She needs to look for another career because being the first person you deal with when coming here is bad for business. We will never come here again because of that individual.

The doctor and the women who does the various eye examination were marvelous, and extremely professional. The reason for the low rating is concerning the receptionists and the person who fills out the paper to order you glasses are very passive aggressive and condescending, one was even taking a personal call and spoke very load.
When my mom went who speaks English as her second language they were not patient and she felt miss-treated.

Stay away from here, stay away, stay away from this place. They're fraudulent and unkind. Very unprofessional, and all they're after is your money. They look for ways to double-bill your insurance. Many illegal activities. Please don't do any business with this provider at all. I would rate it a zero star if could. Run, run, run!!!

Totally disappointed with this outfit. Doctor was pofessional, but billing folks are crooks. Got an eye exam a year ago and did not order contacts through this office at that time. Called back 12 and a half months later to order contacts and was told I needed another eye exam as my prescription had expired. My paper prescription had a 2 year expiration but contact prescription was only for a year.
Now that i need contacts, i have to get another eye exam in order to refill. Nothing stated a year earlier and paper prescription is only good for glasses.
Very misleading to say the least. And to top

I walked in and the people behind the desk didn't even acknowledge I was there. Then one of the people behind the desk asked me for my insurance. As I was looking for the insurance card she made a comment “or you dont have insurance” . No “hi” or “how are you” I have never been to a place were people were so rude. You are not getting my $$. Bye !! Have a good day.

Kosnoski eye care was recommended and I am so glad I went! I loved everything about this office. The staff was really friendly. The doctor was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer my questions and concerns. When it came time to pick my glasses the lady who helped me was so accommodating – she worked with me to find the right fit and look and also made sure to let me know what my insurance covered vs. not. It was an all-around wonderful experience!

I liked going here when it was Dr. Locascio's place. I do not like it anymore now. The energy is stale AF.

The customer service is so bad. Why are you acting so mad at your patients? Why am I not being treated with compassion?

If the work is that stressful, please give your front desk people some assistance by either streamlining the workload or by hiring people who can handle the job!

Dr. Kosnoski is amazing and thorough! I have been seeing him for years and now drive down from Everett to continue to see him. Just took my girls to get their eyes checked and the whole office did great with them (2 and 6 years old). Highly recommend seeing Dr. Kosnoski!

We’ve been patients for 12 years. The new policy instituted by Dr. Kosnoski as of January 2018 — either you consent to having your eyes dilated or you consent to retinal screening. Zero option to opt out, choose one or both. As a former medical professional I like the freedom of choice. And I don’t take kindly to having options removed from me. Also Dr. Kosnoski has been trying to force cataract surgery on me for 8 years. Sure he would, it’s a big money maker. News flash, I see fine, day and night, colors are vibrant and my vision can still be corrected to 20/20. Kosnoski himself is an

Hanna was extremely helpful and friendly. From the moment I walked in. I asked her to double check that they take my insurance (VSP - they do), helpful me for probably 30 minute picking out some glasses I told her I’d be back in 2 days when I got paid to purchase them. I came back and ended up searching for a different pair because I wasn’t 100% on the pie I originally picked out. She was helpful the whole time. I had a great experience with the lady at the front desk as well. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to pay half up front and then pay the rest when I got the glasses.

I highly recommend Kosinski Eye Care in Federal Way. The staff is very friendly, professional, and competent. They work with your insurance provider and explain all charges. They offer an alternative to having your eyes dilated, which costs extra, but it's worth it not having to wait for drops to work, and then wait again for your vision to be restored. The exam with the doctor is very thorough and interesting as she explains everything in detail. Gayle is very helpful when it comes to choosing frames. She's very patient with indecision (lol!) I found the employees to be friendly and helpful. The preexam was quick and to the point and I did not have to wait overly long to see the doctor. The doctor was informative without drawing the process out overly long. I found her bedside manner to be comforting and professional. I will continue as a customer. One small caveat, the eyeglass selection is a little sparse (though I had no trouble finding a few good candidates).

Had my first visit here today and am very pleased. Doc provides an eye examination that is much more thorough than my previous optician, and I appreciate that! His assistants (front and back office) were very nice and helpful. I definitely recommend getting your optical services here. THANK YOU!

I can't believe no one mentioned how incredibly rude the front desk receptionist lady is. She makes it so blatant obviously she's miserable at her job and fills the whole room with a sour atmosphere. I have family members that stopped going here because they couldn't stand her attitude. I'm literally in utter shock she still has her job.

I've been going to Dr. Jack for quite a while now. He's had some staffing issues earlier but the current crew seems competent. I enjoy working with Kathy as she seems to keep the office running well. Dr. Jack is very competent and very efficient in determining your prescription. I've been happy overall.

My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Locascio and his staff for over a decade and have always been very happy with their thoroughness, politeness and dedication to their patients. The office seems to have the latest and greatest in technology every time we visit. Dr. Locasio takes a great deal of pride in his knowledge of optometry and is always willing to share it. His assessments are always highly detailed, informative, educational and easy to understand. We will continue to trust him with our eyes.

I've used Dr. Locascio since I was in 2nd grade. He is an excellent Doctor, who truly cares for his patients. He is active in his community outside of his job, and always remembers the small details about my life, which makes me feel special. I now live in North Tacoma, but I still make the trip to Federal Way any time I need help with my eyes/contacts.

So I took my daughter who has been having trouble seeing the overhead projector at school, and reading the fifteen different screens she uses at home to an optometrist in Federal Way. The optometrist, Jack Locascio, noted when he saw me "that I shared the same affliction as my daughter." I thought at first that was a kind of droll overstatement, but then he said that her vision had deteriorated such that she "now needed glasses." And that "she should not read books. Reading is bad for the eyes." I was still confused by the idea of the need for glasses constituting
