Horrible and pitiful. Called for parts and was told we have it in stock and gave me a price. 30 minutes later I show up for the parts and $250 in hand and was told by the same guy "Oh no that is a special order part and is going to be $482.00" WOW pretty bad for a company that deals and sells this brand. I won't specify the brand and tarnish their name because of Shorts but I do recommend going elsewhere. 0 stars from me but I had to choose one in order to post.

This place is horrible, will take your money for a purchase, give you no updates an when boat deadline comes and goes, still no response, but when i decided to cancel then i got a response and since they didn't deliver the boat, kept my deposit, thieves in the industry, do not go here for anything marine related, the worst

All very nice but except a phone call back.
The first time I used them I dropped my boat off for storage and ask them to replace the water pump. When I called and asked if boat was ready they yes. I get there 5 hours away and was told my pump was ok and here’s the bill for checking it out. That’s not what I asked for but since I only use the boat for two weeks vacation and was going to store it for the next year with them I let it go.
The next year after my two weeks using the boat I dropped it off for shrink wrap, winterize and storage. A few weeks later they called me and said the engine

This place is awful. I have never dealt with customer service so bad. Their goal is to take advantage of the lesser informed customer and charge you as much as possible at over-inflated prices. This place is a scam! They don't return calls, they won't give advice, they don't care about your feedback and worst of all, they will charge you for extensive repairs without any discussion of the charges or authorization. If this was the last boat place on earth, I'd rather my boat sink. I would never go here again. I've had multiple bad experiences at this point, so this

Do not bring your boat or motor to this place, the mechanics there are subpar at best and the customer service is absolutely awful. They charged me over $350 to repair a 5 hp motor water pump. When I got it back it did not run, and was worse off than when I brought it in. When asked to talk to the mechanic to see what could possibly be done to repair this the front desk would not allow us to speak, and actually asked him to leave the room. I am completely disappointed and will never ever ever use or recommend this place again. Complete robbery and completely dissatisfied.

Terrible. I brought my Waverunner in to be serviced (Supercharger rebuild) and it had more issues when I left than when I brought it in. The rebuild was $1100, now I have to get error codes corrected that popped up after the rebuild. Then I have to pay winterization costs. Their negligence has cost me basically all my Summer on the water. Too bad a 0 star rating doesn't exist.

I bought a 17 foot boat used from shorts marine and it gave me problems, so I told them my boat was not performing and not running. They told me mr shorts doesn't sell non working boats they said bring in to be evaluated, they called me a week later and said boat was ready . Not only did they fix my boat but I was not charged , boat runs like a champ now thanks to all the great people at shorts marine. Happy customer!

My grandfather has been a long term customer and has had his boat here for years . He doesn't have a use for the boat anymore so my husband said we would go and get it and help him sell it . The week of April 8th he called down to let them know we would be coming o he's the boat out. They said they were backed up so it would take 10-14 days . So today (April 29) my husband , 1 year old son and I took the 3 hour drive to come pick the boat up . My grandfather had called and confirmed yesterday that we would be down to get the boat and that we would need it put on our trailer . He called

I will give them high marks for their boat storage and the store is great. But after two tries with their service department, I would advise to go somewhere else if you need something fixed.
I took my outboard to them because it was hard to start and then wouldn't run right. They supposedly cleaned the carb and charged me a couple hundred. But the engine was still just as hard to start and then wouldn't run right. Shorts tried to make it look like I don't know how to operate an outboard. (I've been using them for 40 years). They wanted to charge me more if I brought

Terrible service. I brought my new boat in with cover on it, they serviced the boat, never called me, and let it sit out on the lot uncovered for a week. They did some customization's that I never requested and charged me $700. The manager got in an argument with me, told me that I had asked for these customization's. When I produced the work order which I had a copy of, he tried to back pedal out of his accusations that I had requested the extra work...... Do not use these fools for anything. They ruined our family boat by not shrink wrapping it while it was in long term storage when they lied and said they did. Boat sat out in the elements for 4 years while someone stole items out of it. Company is as shady as it comes. Everyone we dealt with is extremely rude and very incompetent.

I purchased two cans of Mercury Lube, about $25.00. The product came late. NOT due to Short's Marine. I did wind up getting them locally (At a higher price BTW).
When the product came. I emailed and said. I'd like to return them. They told me. We're sorry. Please keep the product. We'll refund the money plus the shipping cost.
Now this is a company you always love to find and do business with. Just very rare and not to many around in these times!!! Great people. Super honest. Thanks Short's Marine!! David
