Services
Dawn Tuminello, OD, obtained her Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1995 after completing a Bachelors Degree (Psychology) from the University of Illinois Chicago. She is Board Certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. As an active member of the community, she has lectured on various topics, including macular degeneration, cataracts and low vision rehabilitation.
We are the only office in the State of Illinois to offer the RHA (Retinal Health Assessment). The RHA is the latest advancement in diagnosing and monitoring sight threatening diseases such as Macular Degeneration, Diabetes, and High Blood Pressure, years earlier than traditional treatments. We accept Cash, Personal Checks, Debit Card, Master Card, Visa, American Express, and Discover.
We are now offering the Pajama Package! This promotion is great for patients who live in their contact lenses! Everyone should always have at least one pair of current glasses just in case any issues arise with contacts. The pajama package is also great for a second pair special! We have a section of frames dedicated to this offer with three tiers of lens options for single vision wearers!
At Eye Was Framed Eyecare, we are committed to making sure you are seeing and looking your best. There are a few things you can do to help us. Any prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses that you are currently using. This includes any glasses that you may be using for the computer, for school or work, for night driving, for crafts, hobbies, or sports, or as your emergency backup glasses.

Will never go anywhere else. I brought an RX to them from my eye doctor because their selection of frames is the best around. When I got them back I could not see out of them. Their doctor checked my eyes and the RX was not accurate. They worked with me diligently and reorder them. They were so patient through my frustration. Can't say enough about their amazing staff!

Polite service, but... This was my first visit. Doctor did the exam and issued new prescription. I went to technician to order new glasses. Unfortunately there was no frames I liked within my price range. This place is pricey. Well, I left place without ordering. I used the prescription to get safety glasses from my workplace and apparently something went wrong. Glasses made to the prescription are not right. I can see much better with my old glasses, than new ones. I'm not sure where is the fault at this point. Since new prescription was a lot different than old one I tend to blame the prescription

Did not keep my appointment time for 6pm and asked me to come in at 6:40pm which I did politely. Receptionist had my benefits and told me my contact lens fitting would not be covered. Had to go outside to then call my insurance provider myself and verify that it in fact was covered. After that I came back in and a very nice lady named Michelle helped me and gave tips for my dry eyes. Dr. Dawn is very sweet as is Michelle, but the rest of the staff left me fuming. I now do not have my contact lens prescription and debating even going back. Billed my fitting as premium with no reasoning behind it
