I have been having my eyes examined here for several years. My last visit so pretty bad to the point that I asked for my medical records and will finding a new doctor. My prescription that was given to me I could not see out of the lens at all, actually everything was appearing double. The assistant attempted to explain to me what she thought was the problem, but what I find disturbing was that at no time during my first visit nor my second in which I picked up my medical records did the Doctor offer to speak with me. I just found that to be truly poor customer service.

I was forced to change doctors due to a job change and subsequent change to my insurance. I chose this office due to its close proximity to where I live. While I had a good experience when I visited the office for my annual exam, the same was not the case for my daughter.
I'll give a lot of leeway to any doctor's office currently operating in the COVID environment. My daughter was the only one allowed in the office, so my wife had to wait in the car - I get that, social distancing and all. My daughter who is very respectful and conscious of the current environment reported the staff

Everyone was so nice. They maintained COVID 19 protocols. I had to call when I arrived they came out to greet me gave me paperwork to complete while in my car social distanced. I had an amazing young lady Lena I believe, who took tests I never heard of prior to seeing Dr. Schiber, who I might add was patient and explained everything in everyday language. The fun part was sitting with Carmille who helped me pick glasses that were artistic, funky and me. Awesome experience! I’ve found my Eye Dr. for Life.

Doctors are awesome!! However I will not be a returning customer. I scratched my glasses but had not damaged the frame.I inquired as to the cost of putting my prescription into the same frame I purchased from them. I was told the cost would be $500.00. That cost is what I originally paid. I than priced Sam's club, Costco, other eye care facilities nearby and all of them said $200.00.

Adherence to safe COVID protocols, timely appointment keeping makes for efficient visits, extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff...a great experience from start to finish! They had performed most of the legwork on insurance etc before arrival, so the whole process was quick and easy.
Kirschner employs top class people and you would be doing yourself a disservice if you live in the Southwest suburbs and don't consider them for your next exam or future vision needs. Based on my recommendation from the treatment received at my recent Homewood Office visit, my entire family will be using them

I visited Kirschner Vision Group today as I needed to restock my glasses cleaner. I purchased a spray cleaner which comes with a cleaning cloth, in a small plastic bag, perfect for transport in a tote bag. I believe it was $8.
While there I asked whether I could look at the glasses and did so. Beautiful frames are available at Kirschner Vision Group, some high-end designer frames, and some more modest in price and style. There are also sunglasses and sports models available for purchase as well.
The hours are very generous and include Saturday hours.

This was my first time here, unfortunately it was not a good first impression. I'm not one to complain, and I'm very understanding. With that being said I came in, about 20 minutes early for my first appointment. When I was brought to the back and sat down I heard "Oh the new guy is actually on time?" Now me being very understanding and not jumping to conclusions I assumed this maybe was said because I was a new customer and not because I'm a young black male. As the previous posts have stated, the front office staff is terrible. I've bought 5 pairs of glasses over a 4 year period, and every time a front office does something unprofessional.
On my last and final visit, I went back in, 6 weeks after getting a full exam and new glasses.
I told the woman at the desk that I wanted to purchase a pair of safety prescription glasses. She went into my file and told me my prescription was no good. I asked her why, and she said I needed to get an exam. I asked her if a different type of exam was required for safety glasses, and she responded, "Yes,

I've been going to for the at least 10 years and have been very happy with the doctors. It's time for my family of 5 to have our annual and new frames so instead of calling I walked in after work. The greeting from the receptionist was extremely unwelcoming. After her chat with her co-worker she finally looked up to tell me with cursed, vilified look on her face she said that she will be right with me. I'm extremely willing to endure the greeting and I wait. She walked away came back and I still wait until another couple walks in and she immediately asked with a pleasant smile

Just got an exam, been here for 3 years. Office staff is terrible, no one greets you when you arrive. And I had an appt. and still no one even said hello. While doing my eye tests the person took a personal cell phone call. Horrible! When I was done and paying my bill the staff barely looked at me and carried on a conversation between the three of them while they ate at the receptionist desk. Most unprofessional office. If it wasn't for the two very nice and professional male doctors I would never return. And after that cell phone incident, I might not be back next year.

The doctors are great, but the staff is rude. Two years ago I took my business elsewhere after growing tired of the staff seeming to be "annoyed" and always ready to do something other than assist me, a paying customer. So needless to say I had one of the worst experiences of my life at this vision center. I was never called back and reminded of any appointments, I had an initial appointment and follow up appointments. When asked why this might have happened I was told disrespectfully told I don't know. I also had a hard time making a follow up appointment for contacts, since my doctor was on vacation for a couple weeks.
